Resident Evil Village Gold Edition (PS5)

A really good game takes a bit to get use to you but other than that its a good game.

Great game play and platform. Play in 1st or 3rd person mode(s) with excellent graphics and plenty and ancillary missions to attempt.

Normally I would only give a four star review but given that there are now three one star reviews of this frankly excellent game I feel the need to bump it's score up a bit. The complaints are based on the fact that the game disc doesn't have a physical copy of the DLC and while I can understand why that might be a little off putting I need to emphasise that this is industry standard.Most game discs these days don't even come with the whole game on it, relying on day one patches to make the game even playable.Very rarely do complete editions actually come with the content on the disc, this is for multiple reasons to do with players being allowed to choose which content is on their console at which time, resale standardising and honestly the company being able to sell more copies of the DLC if the game disc is sold on.Like I say I understand the complaints however this game is excellent and getting it with the extra content is definitely worth it.If you already own a copy of the base game just get the Winter's Expansion though.

I really enjoy the Resident Evil series and I am also a fan of the first-person perspective of recent games which gave the franchise a fresh new approach.This game is action-packed and the story is also fairly enjoyable and won't make you feel bad about the future of the franchise as it leaves it with various new possibilities that can be introduced.The graphics are very impressive and feel very lifelike. The sound design is also very impressive.This is a must-buy if you enjoy the resident evil series of games especially 7.P.S. You can also now play this game in third-person mode.

It's taken me time to understand the concepts, from other games and approaches you want to fight before flight, but if its not a standard unit then you most probably have to run until the game locks you in a room where you then know you have a boss fight. I find this quite annoying as you can expend all you ammo only to watch YouTube videos where you have to run! This was annoying. The story seems interesting and good scenes and puzzles at times. My main gripe is that it's so very dark, I don't always want to play with the curtains shut, but have no choice when in dark rooms and hallways, so this is a downside.I have felt a bit sick after playing at times, which I haven't had with other games.It's different to what I am used to but keeping me gripped, so hope to get to the end.

Horror delight,at this price its a steal

So far this seems like a great game! I love the fact you can have it in first person or third person..still quite early on in the game, but graphics and story seem great so far..as this is a follow on from the previous game I liked how they included a recap of the story at the start of the game so if you’re new to the franchise, you will know how the story got to this particular point.

Game is incredible especially when using the VR2 headset. I struggle to play for to long though as I get a bit of motion sickness

Fun addition to the franchise. Challenging enough to have fun but not too difficult to be frustrating. Would be nice if future game was a bit more of an open world and not so linear. Not criticizing just hoping to see an evolution. Enjoy... we did.
