I'm a total novice at making candles. I started out with soy wax, since so many people recommend it. I hated it from the beginning: it burns oddly, has a strange texture and a nasty, greasy feel. Further, it makes a friend of mine ill. It had one good point: my first candles NEARLY reached full melt pool. Next I tried good 'ol paraffin, mixed with mineral oil to lower the melting point. Those candles all exhibited "tunneling" regardless of trying various wicks, and, further, they left a kind of "heaviness" in the air. I did more research on waxes with lower melting points, and found coconut wax, which I intended to mix with beeswax to get a melting point around 120°. I ordered this wax, not realizing it's not pure coconut wax, but is mixed with soy. Pure serendipity! This wax has it all! My candles reach full melt pool without a lot of fuss over the wick, and it doesn't seem to leave any kind of heaviness to the air. It has a smooth texture and doesn't feel greasy like soy wax. It's easy to work with. Lots to learn, still, but this wax gave me a clear path forward. For beginners, at least, I think it is the absolute best wax with which to start.

I recommend this soy wax blend it has a great burn and melt to it. It’s very easy to use no mess required. I would recommend this product!!

This coconut wax is an easy to use wax for making candles. It is made in the USA and melts easily. There are instructions on the sides of the bags on melting and flash points. Be sure to do your own research when deciding to make candles. Overall, no scent as you need to add your own. It isn’t a kit, you need to get your own scents, melting appliances and wicks. The 25lb bag comes with a lot of wax beads. It is a bit on the expensive side but worth it as it is easy to use.

My favorite wax for making candles. I don’t need to experiment with any others. Great scent throw. Nice smooth tops.

Update: 08/23/2023After much trial and error with candles, I have learned it was completely my fault for the candles being “mediocre.” I have since found this wax to produce candles with excellent scent throw, and incredibly smooth tops. No doubt in my mind this is a genuine, high quality, coconut-soy blend wax. I WILL be purchasing again. I love this brand. It is the main brand I use for soy/coconut candles after trying many others. I still highly recommend their Midwest Container Wax as well.Old review;This wax produced some pretty mediocre candles compared to the other waxes this company offers. The tops on my candles were appealing, and due to the blend of coconut wax there was minimal frosting, but the overall scent throw wasn’t that impressive. I chose this wax in a 10 lb set because I LOVE their MidWest Container Wax for it’s strong scent throw and assumed the addition of coconut wax in this blend would only improve it, but I was wrong. I’ll stick to the container wax from now.

Great product

This is my first coconut wax experience, I have found it to be a bit of a challenge. It is very soft and a little greasy. It smells good and melts well. It will take some finesse, but I have no doubt this functional wax. It is a great value.

I'm new to candle making and these are definitely the best. They are easy to use and not messy.
