This stuff is perfect, it takes a day to see the full results.... but it works perfectly!

We live in GA and each year we cover our salt pool the end of October. In the past we would open the pool in April and see green (and sometimes black) algae and it would take a couple of weeks to vacuum to waste and then start adding shock before we could put any salt in the water. This year I used the pool shock once each month (about 1/3 gal and then ran the pump for 24 hours. When opening the pool this year, the water was crystal clear with no algae. If we do get freezing weather, I cover the above ground pump and filter with an insulation blanket so the piping above ground doesn’t freeze. I’m not sure the so-called “pool pro’s” would recommend this but I save a lot of $$ on chemicals when reopening and the water chemistry only took 72 hours to return to normal after adding salt.

I use this to open and close my pool. My pool guy couldn't close my pool a couple of years ago so I just took note as to what chemicals he used. This along with PoolTec clarifier are the only two chemicals I use in my pool and salt since it a salt water pool. I use 3 or 4 gallons at open and close. The only reason I knocked off a star is the price. Chlorine is chlorine I know this is a higher concentration there are others I see that are cheaper that I might try in the future. Otherwise this is a good product. My pool collects a lot of dirt over the winter and is always pretty murky. All looks clear in a week or two ready for swimming. I have a salt chlorinator but I keep a couple of gallons of this along with regular liguid chlorine in the event my pool has an algae outbreak. So far so good I haven't had any issues in 8 seasons of owning this pool.

The price is right and it works really well. The bottles are easy to open but well sealed for shipping. I have bought this product many times and though it cost more than the powder shock, when the pool gets out of hand, you can't keep dumping powdered chlorine in or it will get cloudy and never clear up. Trust me on that one, it happened to a friend. :) Anyway, this is a really good product and they get it to fast too.

What in liked about this product is that it worked! I mean it turned a grab pool blue in four days off recycling the pump! I bought more keep it on deck

I have a 12' x 24' x 52" above ground pool (Just got it set up). It holds approximately 8600 gallons of water. It is brand new but had water in it for 1 week before got this shipment of pool shock. I put in one gallon of shock into the pool. It seems to be working. The water is definitely clearer. I have added one of the float chlorine units with the 3" tablets in it (2 tablets). My pool is one inch out of level from one end to the other. I plan on redoing next year and lowering 26" into the ground and it will be perfectly level before I put any water in to it. I do have the right equipment to make it perfectly level and know how to use it. This year I was in a hurry to get it up and running. It has been very hot here in the northwest. (Vancouver, Washington) (The State). I don't care about the price, it was easy to use. just pour it in. I did not walk around the pool doing it. I just poured it in a little at time as the return water was coming back into the pool. I know that I should give it 5 stars, but if I want to get honest answers I always go to the 3 stars to get them. So far it is worth the 5 stars.
