Despite the packaging saying everything had been rinsed prior, there were big puffs of dust coming out of the package when opened. Make sure you rinse well prior to potting.

I was able to use the 2 quart bag to create a succulent terrarium in a large glass bowl as well as two small planters with several baby succulents. So far, so good. I am still experimenting to find the perfect soil blend. This soil mix is composed of tiny bits of pumice, lava, clay - a drier blend than what I've used before. I have another terrarium and several larger succulents growing in regular potting soil that are doing well too, so it remains to be seen if this speciality soil is worth the added cost.

My aloe has only been planted in it for a couple days but so far so good. I was a little skeptical at first because it is at first glance mostly little rocks with a few wood chips mixed in. But I realize now that it will do good for drainage. I recommend a lot more than miracle grow, as it attracts bugs and doesn’t drain as well.

I LOVE THIS STUFF! My Aloe Vera really likes this soil. It perked back up from being super droopy from the soil I had it in beforehand. I wish I got more for what I paid, but it's so worth it. I will buy again for all my succulent needs!
