Nice custom liner...
Worked better than expected. Sticky side is really sticky so make sure where you put it is where you want it. You can't really remove once stuck because it tears apart. Was more difficult than I thought it would be to cut. It has some elasticity to it so you can from and mold over curves and edges. Looks great on my 1991 Camaro Z28 with custom hood louvers. Overall, love it!

Works fine
The adhesive is impressively tacky. If yours isn’t staying stuck then you didn’t do a decent job cleaning the panel surface beforehand. And you DID use a brayer, right? This is good stuff; don’t malign it if you’ve been sloppy. In spite of all the nonsense in the above description (WTF cotton???), this is just neoprene foam that you can stick on big panels to absorb a little bit of noise. It isn’t a miracle product and it can tear but it sticks like mad and you can NOT reposition it after a few seconds.Stick it everywhere. Don’t try for 100 percent coverage. Use it in your car doors to make your speakers sound better. Don’t use it to dampen panel resonance (that’s for heavy thin tarry butyl sheets) but do use this to quiet down spaces.I’m buying more.

Not Great
I have a Jeep wrangler that I recently put a new exhaust on which caused the exhaust sound to increase. Jeeps are not exactly quiet; however, the new exhaust system made it hard to have a conversation inside at highway speeds. Also, the exhaust used a larger pipe (which runs under the left side floorboards) and there was more heat on the floorboards. I tried using a thicker carpet insulation which helped the heat issue, but not the sound issue. I installed the foil backed pad on the left front and rear floorboards as I needed more heat protection there and the non-foil backed pad on the right front and rear floorboards. Both types were relatively the same amount of difficulty for installing, but the non-foil backed pad conforms to the floorboard contours much better. The non-foil back pad is also easier to tear and damage (during install and during use). It seems like both pads do an OK job of reducing the heat, but I was more interested in lowering the noise level. I did notice a small amount of noise reduction on the highway, but not really significant. If you are expecting good noise reduction, this will not be what you want. I may try adding some different noise pads on top of this one to see if that helps. I will also put some in cargo flooring to see if that helps. The jeep also has a removable top which is fairly thin. I was hoping that I could use the non-foil pad on that too for insulation, however, it is way too fragile for this application, so I will keep looking for something for the top. I should mention that other folks said that this material arrive folded which made it a little challenging. Mine also arrived folded which was annoying, but I made it work. Others also mentioned that once this is stuck on something, it won't come unstuck. I had the same experience as well. If this stuff is mis-stuck, you are out of luck with removing it and re-sticking it. I cut mine to shape prior to removing the backing. Then removed a little of the backing at one time, stuck it in place, then removed a little more. This worked fine for me.Pros:- Affordable- Relatively easy to install- Sticks well- Seems to cut down the heat- Non-foil version conforms to contoursCons- Doesn't really cut down the noise much- The non-foil pad is fragile. Not sure how long it will last.- Tough to remove once stuck down

Actually helps insulate.
I installed this in my 1931 Model A coupe, under the rubber floor mat and along the interior cab fire wall. Really helped quiet thigs down a bit as well as some relief from the heat from the exhaust system and engine. The one side adhesive seems about the right amount without making a mess.

Works but could be better if it were properly shipped
This stuff is good for the money but only if you are willing to put up with a couple things. It really does great noise reduction but it is not properly packed and shipped and it really makes it just OK where it could be great. It comes folded instead of rolled and has a lot of creases. This causes the backing paper to come off while it is sitting around or shipping and messes up the adhesive which is just OK. I've used many of these products and this is by far the cheapest but I had to use some spray adhesive in a few spots because the adhesive was just gone on the foam. Also it will never un-crease from the folding, I tried sun, hair dryer, letting is sit for a week, so it will never look very good even for black foam. So if it is going somewhere your don't need perfect adhesion and you never have to look at it, it's a good deal.

Horrible
No complaints with the seller, major complaints with the product. Backing will not peel off, normally backing comes off smoothly as you roll along. This does not, you wind up with a lot of little pieces to take off because the paper is very cheap and tears, very time consuming and disappointing. The foam does not stick well to anything except itself. It is impossible to take apart foam pieces that touch each other without destroying them. And since the backing doesn't peel off you will like I did, wind up throwing away enough of it that you will not be able to finish the job and have to buy more. (buy something else, this stuff is horrible.).I threw it all away after my first attempt folded over and could not be un-stuck.

Low-price alternative without any big tradeoffs
I use this material for sound deadening in vehicles over the usual initial layer of butyl rubber and aluminum foil. Previously I had used the Russian brand Noico red. This Chinese brand is a FRACTION of the price and is, for all intents and purposes, exactly the same product. The main difference is that this one came in a roll instead of rectangles. I rolled it out flat on a flat surface and just let it sit there for the past several months while I do various projects with it and it has flattened out fairly well even in the cold weather. Its performance seems to be identical to that of the Noico. I would definitely buy this again.

Bajo Capot Bmw E21

Cheap, but effective for the cost.
Too cheap to buy Dynamat. Lined my trunk with it. Does a fair job. Very sticky backing. Foam tears easily. It's cheap, but it was also cheap.
