A Helpful Tool In Our Flea Control Regimen!
We have double coated, long haired, very furry large Northern Breed Mixed Dogs. Unfortunately, fleas are a year round problem here in the San Francisco Bay Area where we live ... Ugh! Advantage II Topical Flea Treatment & Prevention is an effective tool in our flea control regimen. - Easy to apply the topical drops on your dog's skin along the backbone. - Our dogs have never had any skin irritation or other negative reactions with this product. - The 6 pack is a terrific value. I highly recommend this product.

Gets the job done
It's hard to find an affordable, OTC flea repellant that applies monthly on the neck and WORKS. This stuff does the job. I have two 25 pound dogs and the small dog application is way smaller and ridiculously expensive. Our monthly budget is super tight, but I must take care of my animals, so I went looking for a cheaper way to get a good OTC flea repellant that works. This WORKS. For me. I can't guarantee it'll work for you, of course. I don't know you, I don't know your dog. Duh. Fleas are different all over the nation and some have developed immunity to this kind of repellant and some repellants just don't work. Disclaimer: I'm about to tell you what I do with this. If you decide to do the same, I take no responsibility for your results. I'm just saying this works for me. Ok, so I did some research on The Innernetz. I found out that if you get the extra large dog size, you get way more medicine for your money. It makes it cost way less per ml. I got this item. I got a little, airtight, really secure glass bottle, and a 1.0ml syringe. All from Amazon. The research I found said to use 1.2ml for a 25 pound dog. So at the beginning of every month, I open one extra large dog application, squirt it into the little glass jar, stick in the blunt syringe, and pull the plunger all the way, which is about 1.2ml. I then apply it on my dogs just as I would the small dog application. No fleas in our house. Thank GOD. Because once they get in, they're almost impossible to get rid of, and it's crazy-making. BTW, dusting diatomaceous earth and using an insect growth regulator are a good way to get rid of an infestation.

Saved me a trip
Frontline works like a charm, just like always. I usually grab it at the pet store, but busy-mom life says “click, order, done”—delivery straight to my door, zero hassle. Bonus: we don’t even have a flea problem, so it’s peace of mind for me and my pets. Easy win all around. 🐾✅

Adequate Flea Prevention, but Limited Coverage
I recently tried the Advantage II Medium Dog Flea Treatment for my furry friend, and while it does offer some level of protection, I can't help but feel it falls short in certain aspects. On the positive side, the convenience of a 6-month supply is appealing, and the application is relatively straightforward. My dog didn't seem bothered by it, and I appreciate the effectiveness in preventing fleas. However, my concerns arise when considering the limited scope of coverage. Advantage II is primarily designed for flea prevention, and while it does that job adequately, it doesn't provide protection against more serious illnesses transmitted by ticks. In my region, where tick-borne diseases are a significant concern, I opted for monthly pills with a prescription from my vet. The decision to switch to a different product was based on the need for comprehensive protection, especially considering the potential health risks associated with tick bites. While Advantage II may be suitable for areas where ticks are less prevalent, it didn't align with my dog's specific health requirements. In conclusion, if you're primarily dealing with flea prevention and live in an area where ticks are not a major concern, Advantage II could be a convenient option. However, for pet owners in regions with a higher risk of tick-borne diseases, it might be worth exploring alternative solutions with broader coverage, potentially involving a discussion with your vet for a prescription-based monthly treatment.
