for me, it doesn't matter that there is some artificial flavoring in this coffee....that discouraged me at first but I was very glad I gave it a try...for the price (currently $10.99) the flavor and caffeine levels are AMAZING when my Trung Nyugen Creatives are out of stock...I would always go for Creative 1 or Creative 3 over this coffee, but when those aren't available this is an EXCELLENT replacement

We mix our coffee, 1/3 Trung Nguyen to 2/3 Gevalia Colombia and the coffee flavor is truly outstanding. If you use Trung Nguyen coffee by itself, the flavor is very good, but the drip is much slower than other brands as the grind is much smaller.

I like this coffee a lot, so when I needed more, I reordered it and promptly received it.

Good ground coffee, just not as good as the Trung Nguyen one that I bought from Vietnam during my visit.

I like coffee! Don't you! Anyway I am always open to the experience of good coffee. Searching around I came across the Trung Nguyen Gourmet Blend - a Vietnamese blend, which was 'a little this and a little of that' - arabica rustelo and other ingredients not really known to me, but in the spirit of 'I"ll try anything once, I went ahead and tried it AND I liked it. It has a very pleasing aroma and a mellow taste with chocolate accents. I used my 'pour over coffee filter' (which keeps coffee grounds from going into the cup) allowing me to make 1 cup at a time. Two tablespoons of ground coffee; add hot water and I had a very good cup of coffee with no grounds for objection! Mmm good. Now I am on my second cup. I tried it; I liked it Maybe you will too! 1

I was first introduced to this brand when gifted a bag of Sang Tao 8 (basically an artificial, more animal-friendly version of kopi luwak, or civet/weasel coffee, made with fermented coffee beans found in the poop of the Asian palm civet). What an introduction! It's really good, but still a little pricey for anything more than special occasions.All of that aside, I settled on their gourmet blend for making cold brew (simple method, steeped in a mixing bowl for ~16 hours at room temp, then filtered 2x using cheese cloth). It makes a solid cup. It's also really good in an Italian stove top coffee maker/moka pot. Enjoy with 1 tsp of honey (more/less to your taste) and a dash of salt to further reduce the bitterness.

I know my favorite beans purchased for espresso, are fantastic 3-4 days after roasting. Espressos on days 5-6 are good. Day 7 is ok and things go downhill fast after day 7.Every bean and roast is different - and some of us prolong storage by weeks with freezing and air-tight containers.No one would even consider storing for months....- My package of Trung Nguyen was roasted on Mar 1, 2020- I ordered Oct 31 and took delivery on Nov 2, 2020Yes, the Trung has a 1 year expiration date, and I know of several, other high-end coffee brands also label coffee with 1 year expiration date. But those producers rotate stock (throw out old and replace with fresh) after a couple of weeks to ensure customers receive fresher coffee - coffee roasted within 1 month or so.This coffee spent 9 Months sitting on shelves after roasting --- ugggh.It may have been safe to drink, but it certainly wasn't good.
