Easy to install
Works as advertised. I like pressure buttons to release water pressure. I ordered 2 units hook in online. One for sediment and carbon filter for taste and oder.

Heavy duty construction and accepts ALL 10" X 2.5" universal filters
If you're a travel trailer or RV owner and are tired of trying to find proprietary filters for your water filter canister, then this is the new canister for you! It has a heavy duty construction and accepts ALL 10" X 2.5" universal filters. So, if you want to use a 5 micron filter: get it, 1 micron: go ahead, less than 1 micron no problem as long as they're a 10" X 2.5" universal size filter. One potential issue is finding the right fitting. If, like me, your trailer/RV is plumbed with 1/2" Pex then you'll need a 3/4" male NPT to 1/2" Pex fitting. I would also recommend using Teflon tape AND pipe thread sealant together on the male threads to ensure a leak-less installation. The 2.5" version not only lacks brass/steel threads but also has no 0-ring
Having owned a number of these filters I thought these might be a good value, even though I could see that the input/output threads were plastic. But I was surprised to also find that they have no o-ring, and no groove for an o-ring. Haven't installed yet, so I don't know if they will leak. SimPure seems to promise good customer service, especially if you have leaks. They also say this in the above listing: "About O-ring: If you need an O-ring suitable for DB1025, please search for B0D2D9MY1M." Okay, but that item costs $10 (for three, I think). So now this may be less of a value. And what does "IF" mean? Doesn't SimPure know? I was very disappointed to not receive any reply from SimPure, to whom I wrote via Amazon product help some four days ago, a customer inquiry, saying I had purchased this and simply asking them if an o-ring was needed for this product. O-ring needed or not??????? Inquiring minds want to know.
