Herbs and Medicinal Plants: The Academy of Natural Sciences Knowledge Cards

I am so happy with these cards as they are very detailed in the COLOR illustrations, and include some tree and uses. I am a "budding" herbologist and haven't found anything that met my expectations until now with these cards. There is also a detailed description in easy-to-read print on the card back. These are good to use for wildcrafting and to teach kids the importance of what others call weeds--dandelions are not just "wish roses" but very helpful for the body. A take-along when going to nursery or buying seeds. Heavy-duty card stock with a protective coating makes them last a long time. I'm taking them to work to study during breaks and lunch. Highly recommend.

Really convenient for studying and on-the-go plant/herb identification! I love that they're are so many cards rather than just a handful and that the illustrations are colored to help identify in person. The information provided is also accurate and historical. I recommend them for anyone taking classes on herbal medicine or actively practices gardening!

Very Basic, I was expecting more detail on the description side of cards and clearer images on the image side. Bought to use like a flash card for helping to learn my herbs. Doubtful they will get used.

Thick glossy card stock. Descriptions seem adequate. If your purpose is to identify medicinal herbs and pertinent knowledge about each, this deck should be very useful.

Great knowledge deck. A bit small, but that is not a problem for me.

Why limit these cards to educational purposes when their potential is unlimited. I highly recommend you add this deck to your tarot/oracle readings for greater insight into what medicines are needed as a remedy to the issue at hand. For example, I recently did a tarot reading for my sick cat and drew one of these cards as 'medicine' and wasn't at all surprised when I drew the Valerian card (valerian is a natural sedative & pain reliever). Btw, my cat loves to drink valerian tea! I also drew a card for my husband and discovered the cause of and a remedy for his post-fast headaches. These cards can also be used as guidance when making magical candles, potions, spells, incense, health & beauty products, and so much more!

I am happy with my purchase however I wish the pictures were actual photos of the plants though rather than drawings. Would make identifying plants easier. Good resource to have in the pack when hiking.

It’s good. But like someone else said, there’s a ton they didn’t include. Otherwise it’s fine.
