That said, these are very cheap protection for many reasons. Possible blade injuries, grilling burns, hedge trimming, weed whacking, forging, carpentry, etc. A must for any competitive shooter, youth, female or males at the range. Will protect your forearms from hot brass being ejected, shell shavings, accidental barrel contact and much more. Great for LONG RANGE SHOOTERS where the ammo and barrels combine to generate tremendous heat. Not only for your forearms but have had a couple of folks I know use by covering their barrels (Use Personal Caution) to prevent heat waves distorting their sight image. For the price this is some of the cheapest protection you can buy.

These are great arm protectors for jewelry making. I have tried other solutions, but these sleeves are a durable solution. I use them to protect against forearm abrasions, cuts and burns while I am making metal beads and jewelry findings. Abrasions have been a problem, but these protective sleeves have solved that problem. The heavy weight of the fabric has required some adjustment during summer weather in a hot state, but the thickness and weight of the protection is more important than a small amount of discomfort. The elastic band at the top of these sleeves is not adjustable, so it is necessary for me to roll the elastic over and move the tightest part when circulation becomes a concern.

These sleeves work as advertised but they can be very hot when used in the humid south. I still use them as they do a great job of protecting my arms

You definitely need these if you cut into bushes, hedges, limbs... whatever. They do protect your arms from thorns and cuts. I was surprised just how much these do protect your arms.... And, if you have a dog that paws you with his nails as you play, these are a must have. My 25 lbs dog loves to use her paws to play and has scratched me no end and I was tired of waiting on the scratches to heal and disappear. I have them handy to grab when I want to play with my fur baby. He now waits patiently for me to slip them on my arms before play attacking me with his paws. I wouldn't dream of doing any yard work without these on. To me, these are well worth the price.

I mean... they did the job, which was to protect my arms from getting burned while frying chips in hot oil at work. However, they were way too big for me - so I cut and sewed them to fit my arms better. Because of that, though, they ended up making my arms so hot, that by the time I stripped them off, they were drenched in sweat. I ended up losing them, and then just being content working without them, and simply making myself be more careful not to burn my arms.

I bought these to wear while picking blackberries, and they’ve been so great! No more pokes, scratches or bleeding. They will work well when I prune roses too. I’m an average sized woman and they fit my arms perfectly (see photo) - some reviewers say they received huge ones. I wear gardening gloves and these “gauntlets” and no problem!

It’s very comfortable to use, great quality! Keeps you warm during winter and protects you from the sun during summer hot days!

Bought this for my husband who is a chef and would come home with oil-burns and heat burns all over his arms after closing/cleaning. He has had them about a month and uses them almost every day. He said they work perfectly. The only reason I docked a star was because he said some of the wire mesh was poking through on the bicep area so he had to trim them. Other than that, great price, good quality (and machine washable!).
