Disney Winnie the Pooh Classic My Busy Books - Storybook, 10 figurines, playmat Review: Adorable Winnie the Pooh set my toddler loves, but fragile backing - I purchased this for my autistic son’s 3rd birthday since he is absolutely obsessed with Winnie the Pooh. As expected, he lit up with excitement the moment he saw it, and the included figurines quickly became his favorite part of the gift. Pros: Includes all the classic Winnie the Pooh characters in one set Figurines are cute, colorful, and toddler-friendly in size Perfect for imaginative play and for kids who love Pooh Bear Cons: The cardboard backing that holds the figurines is not durable Once the figures are removed, they no longer stay in place securely Our copy was stepped on, which caused the backing to squash and the “book” portion to start falling apart Experience: The set brought a lot of joy to my son, but I do wish the design was sturdier. It would be great if the book had a stronger back cover and the figurines were stored in a separate tray instead of being attached directly to the book. That would make it easier for kids to enjoy the characters without damaging the structure. Review: Cute toddler gift - I really don't have lots to say right now because this is intended to be a gift this coming summer for a child who will turn 3yr old then. But I've heard that she loves Pooh & the others. I did open the outer mailing pouch & the item inside looks great. Especially the figurines. I didn't read the book or unfold the playmat, but from what I can see, what's not to like? The child will be the best reviewer!

Child connected so deeply; they wrapped their arms around the set unwilling to leave without it
- Despite some less-than-stellar reviews, I took a chance on this Winnie the Pooh book-activity set and I'm glad I did! - My grandchild adores Winnie the Pooh and all of the characters connected to the books and movies. I purchased this product with the idea of keeping it as something she can play with regularly when she comes to visit - even as she gets older. - From the moment the box was opened she fully recognized all of the characters as well as the images in the book and on the fold-out "playmat", which seems reasonably resilient, btw, and she started in on her own scenarios of imaginary play with the different characters. Later, she was even acting out scenes from the stories and/or the movies if one was playing in the background. After several visits, as she was getting ready to leave, she wrapped her arms around the book/activity set, which she had packed up herself, and made it very clear she wanted to take the set home with her. Now every time she returns, it's the first thing that comes out and the last that is packed up at the end of her visit. - With such a glowing assessment, readers may wonder, 'Why only a 4-star review...?' - Unfortunately, previous reviewers are quite correct. The figures are very poorly balanced - if "balance" was a consideration in their manufacture, at all. Most of the figures are so unsteady they will not remain standing for more than a few moments on the playmat where the fold lines make it slightly uneven causing the pieces to fall over immediately. - I did come up with a fix for this rather frustrating issue, which involved applying a large steel washer to the base of each figure with a glue that's rated for non-porous surfaces and then coloring it black with a permanent marker pen. I tried standard hot-glue, at first, but that fix did not survive the first time a figure was dropped to the floor. :( However, the non-porous glue has worked great and the figures now easily stand up on their own - AND as an added bonus, they will stick to magnetic surfaces, as well. :) - Also, I wholeheartedly agree with the reviewer who stated the story included with the book reads as though it was written by someone who was completely unfamiliar with any of the Disney “Pooh” stories, or characters. To me, it reads as though it were not even written by a human being but rather, by a seriously out-of-whack chat-GPT-bot. - Since both I and my grandchild adore all things "Pooh", I'm quite familiar with the characters and I’m currently working on a remedy for that issue, as well. - Who knows, maybe I'll submit it to the maker of the activity set (in China?) - or perhaps, straight to Disney, since it's their TM characters and illustrations that are being so poorly represented through the book’s “story”. - Still, in all, considering how much my grandchild adores it; I would purchase this set again - and simply be prepared to deal with its shortcomings as I have.
