I purchases this storage item as a coffee table for my small sectional sofa area. I wanted metal specifically, as my cats love to stick their claws into anything fabric or leather/pleather, and I was tired of trying to keep them from engaging in this natural cat behavior! As I looked at my once lovely leather storage ottoman, with many cat claw holes, I thought, "I'll fix you guys by getting a metal ottomon!" I came across this storage table, and determined it would work perfectly as a small coffee table! I purchased the gold hammered table, and was extremely pleased with the look and the functionality of the generous storage. It is very attractive, sturdy, and indestructible to cat claws!! It's heavy enought to be stable, but not too heavy to move when needed! I definitely recomment this pet-proof storage table. For those without pet issues, it would still be an attractive addition to your home or office!

Very sturdy and heavy. Helps keep carpet in place. Looks high end. And keeps several blanket throws and pillows inside. We get lots of compliments on our seating area around it.

I did end up returning , o Lu because I decided to go with a different style , but it is very nice and the wood lid is very well made

very pleased with this. Comfy. capacious and good for small living rooms. Like the hammered finish and the wooden top doesn't scar.
