SAMSUNGChromebook 3 - 11.6 HD - Celeron N3060 - 4GB - 32GB SSD

I purchased this mainly to use when I fly, or have to go out of town for any reason. Have not yet tried a movie or TV program on it yet. It is lightweight, and very easy to use. Didn't have any problem with it as soon as I charged it. Previously I only had a desktop, and actually, I really like having a portable computer. Haven't tried yet, but will be using it in the kitchen for a recipe, instead of printing out one from the desktop. Over all, really pleased. I had researched a long time before buying, not only other chromebooks, but a chromebook vs. regular laptop. This also had a very good price. A few times I have clicked on Google chrome, and the computer escaped out before I could type into the area. But, mostly, no real problems. I have also found at times I have used this one instead of my desktop. Actually, the results are much faster, and no waiting for programs running in the background!! Very pleased with my purchase.

I've used this for a few months now and this has been great for me as mobile computing platform. I use it for creating course materials in my Google drive, and accessing college classes via the web LMS (with some additional browsing and video viewing). It works great for these things. It syncs Google docs you create offline the next time you are on a network, so for creating a file or continuing to write a file offline it's fine. It's a little more complicated to save .pdf's to the right local drive from the download list so that you can access them offline, but not impossible to figure out. One negative is it's difficult to work in multiple windows on the same screen (it's a short screen and the font is small with a normal screen resolution), and you can't use peripherals (because you don't have space or drivers for Chrome OS to add printers, etc.). That said, if you just want something inexpensive for taking notes/writing and you will be on a network most of the time, this is a great computing solution for the $250-300 range. It's an ideal size for daily commutes/research trips, and can even get you by with completing college coursework if you are adept at opening, saving, and sharing Google docs or your LMS lets you copy/paste text into a submission window for assignments.

First, the one thing that I don't really like about it is the large amount of "pop up ads" that seem to be programmed into this thing. Other than that it's more than satisfactory. My primary computer has Microsoft 10 and I recently was unable to get into a site that I often use. The problem was due to Microsoft 10 and not the site. Everything I read indicated that the next update from Microsoft "might" automatically correct it BUT I obviously couldn't wait for that so I decided to get an inexpensive back up computer. I chose this little Samsung and am fairly happy with it. I would be happier if the google system didn't have so many pop up ads. Hopefully I'll be able to find a way around them. Other than that, after two weeks of use, this appears to be a nice little computer. More than satisfactory for my usage.

My old Chromebook bit the Dirt it was over 4 years old I went again with the updated version, Samsung really makes great products I have the Night Charcoal 11.6 4G 32GB eMMC. I like the new charging cable as well, I can bear Amazon YouTube I can open a lot of tabs and haven't gotten any lag yet, the screen resolution is very good the keys seem very tactile. Once I logged into my account it synced and setup looked identical to my old laptop. Set up a super easy feels and looks like a premium device sleek. Battery life seems to be very good. I highly recommend this. My model number was the 501C13. N3060. 2 USB port 1 HDMI & memory card slot. Handled Amazon, Youtube, Netflix & Hulu so no lag what so ever. Synced with my phone as well. Ordered this for my daughter to use since her school is Chrome based. However was expecting more of a sleek design and what came was not the matellic black as noted and was the night charcoal. The computer also did not have the narrower front as the photo shows but all is the same width, to me it looked like an outdated laptop computer. I’ll be calling to see what is going on tomorrow as I do feel a little played in what I got over what is showed in the picture.

I was hesitant because of the Chrome interface, but now I'm completely sold. Since it is a Chrome interface, no antivirus is needed! It took me a while to understand this, but it's true. I was concerned about being able to access my Windows programs, but with Windows 365 being online, and the fantastic Google Docs/Sheets, this is fully functional. I bought this for web access while traveling, but now it's replacing my larger laptops. Oh yeah, the battery really lasts with 8 hours of use unplugged documented so far. The battery still had juice at the end of the day.

I bought this product from Amazon about 15 months ago. Right when I opened it from the box it gave me nothing but problems. I should have left this review months ago, but I was optimistic it would fix itself or I would get it fixed. I’ve have 3 different computer repair companies take a look at it and all 3 companies said it had different problems. All said it would be $250+ to repair what should have been a new computer. I’ve used for maybe 50- 100 hours at most and could never get it to function properly. Windows would takes 5-10 minutes to load, it would hardly turn on or off when I wanted it to, almost unusable how slow it was. Couldn’t run basic programs that came with the computer or it would crash. This is by far the most expensive thing I’ve purchased on amazon (and I’m a very very frequent amazon user) and I will never ever buy another electronic from amazon ever again. Very disappointed. I would give this 0 stars if I could with how much time and money this has wasted.
