BERGER Grass Shear 2200 with self-Sharpening Blades Hand Grass Shear Made of Chrome-Plated Metal

I got this to replace a cheap Chinese version that was starting to fall apart because of mostly plastic construction. I chose these shears because of the all metal construction and being made in Germany and was not disappointed. It's similar in size to other shears of this size and deals with grass and weeds with no problem. Didn't get any binding with large clumps of grass or thick stems. I like the non-stick coating on the blades as any high carbon non-stainless blades in my location rusts like crazy. I didn't want stainless steel blades because they're less tough (more likely to chip or shatter). These shears hold a good edge and I haven't had to sharpen the edge yet since I've only used it for four months, but I don't expect to have any problems as high carbon blades are easy to sharpen. I expect these shears to serve for at least my lifetime. Recommended.

Everything I hoped it would be. Fine quality. Sharp. Easy to use. For all those little jobs and places the mower won’t reach. When trimming around the mail box, shrubs, etc. this will do the job quicker than taking the string trimmer off the wall, and with al lot less effort. Judging from the quality this may be a tool you will pass on to your children.

These clippers work well, are light-weight, easy to operate, the locking mechanism works well, both in the locked & unlocked positions, & the bright red color makes them easy to see if I forget where I left them. The only negative issue that I found is that I get a blister using them, even with gardening gloves on. A light covering of foam over the handles would be good.

I was tired of the poor quality yard tools coming from China. These clippers should last a long time if cleaned and oiled after use. Great quality and very sharp!

These shears are light, simple, and cut through the grass effortlessly. I was totally impressed with them. Did all the trimming around my gardens without getting a blister on my hands, which would have happened using my old cutters. Would definitely purchase another one.

Just like the old school clippers. All metal and work more then 3 uses like a lot of the garbage available. Worth every penny so far
