Fantastic Book
First, I would like to say "Thank You" to Mari Silva for blessing us with, yet, another great book. She starts this book off discussing some of the widely known symbols in the world, i.e., the Apple Logo, Shell Logo, and Nike Swoosh, just to name a very. The author provided this information to introduce the fact that symbols in the Occult are just as well-known and important. Take for example the Pentagram, the Hexagram and other various symbols and signs.Mari Silva discussed some of the many Archangels and how they can help, in addition to learning which is best suited to help us in a particular situation.I, particularly, always enjoy learning color meanings and she gives a brief meaning of the colors of feathers. Quite impressive. Plus, I find it very beneficial that she has included in this book various prayers to some of the Archangels. She discusses the Zodiac Wheel and the planetary glyphs, along with totem animals and one can recognize one's totem animal. Silvia provided a list of some totem animals, their meaning and how totem animals are associated with one's zodiac sign. I love the information she provided in the chapter on the symbols of protection. This book is filled with various symbols, signs, their meaning and the benefits of creating sigils.Highly recommend this book for anyone serious about their occult working.

Decent starter, Lots of Angel stuff, debatable information.
This is a pretty decent starter book, but I was a touch disappointed to see there were 3 whole chapters dedicated to Angels, and none of the other wonderful religions or systems of belief got nearly as much attention. In fact most of them shared chapters with other types of symbols and systems of belief. Also, the spirit animals of the various zodiacs are debatable and I have read conflicting information from other sources, so keep in mind that a symbol is what you make it to be, not what someone else said it is.If you believe that a pentacle is a sign of Satan then it certainly wouldn’t work as a protection charm for you. With all of this being said, it is written well, and it’s easy to read, but trust your own intuition over anything someone else says.I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Another helpful and informative book from Mari Silva
This book covers a multitude of symbols. It is a great place to start for someone wanting to apply the use of these things to their personal life and practice. Angelic symbols, runes, horoscope glyphs, totems, symbols of protection, and dream symbolism are just some of the topics covered. There is even a section of how to design personal symbols. As others have said, it would have been really nice to have more photos, but the topics included in this book are very helpful and worth the time it takes to read this book.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Roundup of symbols, basic primer
Covers a lot of symbols I have seen around, but quite honestly haven't take the time to investigate deeply. I am interested in angels so read this book mainly for sections on angels. While not necessary as yes you can look up the specific symbols for runes for example on the Internet, would have been nice to include pictures or illustration for some of the symbols. If I'm going to be looking them up anyway the book isn't really that necessary as generally the info will be there when I look up the symbol. Also regarding Native Americans, there are different nations and each can have a different meaning for animals. Ditto for some symbols like rainbow which has deeper or different meaning for my culture. There is info on how to make and charge your own symbol/sigil in the book if interested. This book is a good basic primer and perhaps good for making people aware of other symbols or the wide variety of symbols.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Interesting
A few of these I personally know more about and felt different information would have been more pertinent, also a small picture of each symbol beside all definitions would have helped, but all in all informative and good read

A nice read
I was initially delighted that the Signs and Symbols book arrived on time and without hesitation I browsed through each section. There is without doubt useful information describing some symbols in detail and there symbolism. I did like the information on animal totems, ancient runes, symbols of protection, some dream symbols and not forgetting the the Angelic Sigils and prayers. No doubt it will come in handy, for now it was a dictionary type book I was interested in with all the pictures and meanings of all the ancient symbols.

signs and symbols
i felt parts of the book informative but as it is talking of signs and symbols i feel each one should have been show in a pic. Also book seem to go off topic at times.

A coffee table book
I expected more from this book. It was very limited in scope and breadth, with few actual visual representations of the signs and symbols mentionned. I read it free with Kindle Unlimited, otherwise I would have asked for a refund. Not a reference book, more of a light coffeetable book for someone whom has never heard of symbols, sigils, or the internet. I feel like this was entirely ghost-written and Silva just slapped their name on it -- there's none of the depth I've found in some of their other books.
