Great Replacement
I bought this for our 1983 Toyota Sunrader which has the R12 refrigerant. These are direct fit replacements for the refrigerant lines, and will need to be accompanied by a new compressor. This kit is nice because it is color coded for the high and low pressure sides, plus comes with the tools for installation. Very convenient.

Parts seem really solid but doesn’t fit my 91’ Corolla
Bought these fittings as with a handful of other parts to do the r12 to r134a retrofit conversion in my 91’ Toyota Corolla about a month ago (a month and 2 days… can’t return them now). Parts themselves all seem and feel and look really nice. Both fitting are really nice, threads look solid, caps are good plastic, Schrader valves all look good, even the tool is pretty damn slick. But. When I went to install them in the car and man did it humble me… I found the high side is a 3/8x24 thread instead of a 7/16x20 thread… so these fittings won’t work. Went down to the oriellys and found the AC Pro brand p/n: VA-LH8, which is also a retrofit adapter fitting kit. Kit has a 3/8x24 threaded high side port… if only I’d known sooner that some of the threads are 3/8 and some are 7/16, so double check them before ya get too crazy lol

does not fit 1984 GM pickup high side fitting
this does not fit a 1984 chevrolet c10 pickup, would work on the old york and tecumseh compressors that had the same size high and low fittings

Functional for R-12 to R-134A Conversion
The AC in my 1993 F-150 leaked out at the connections at the drier. My model year was the last for R-12 refrigerant, and it was either find R-12 or convert to R-134A even though it's not as cold. R-12 is nearly prohibitively expensive, so I've opted to convert the system to something more readily available. This kit is needed to make that conversion, as the ports between the two refrigerants are different sizes. The Schrader valves included are a good add just in case you need them.
