I am not seeing any reviews on the PowerStage 170 any owners out there can give their oppinion? Like it? would you buy it again?

I purchased it back in December 2017. Really happy with it so far. It's super light, portable. I've actually switched it out from my normal solo50 mesa rectifier and use it for jamming with drummer/bassist. I run a line 6 Pod HD in front of it which drives all my tones. The main three EQ switches do really help with bringing up bass or dropping mids, bringing up the highs. I have a 4x12 and 2x12 and both seem great option wise....4x12 definitely seems louder, which makes sense, but it's pretty hard to tell. With the combo I'm running with my line 6 pedal and my cabs, it's a great option instead of my big 50-60 pound tube amp. If you are looking for a backup amp or something more portable, I would recommend. I also watched a video on youtube comparing the two seymour duncan power stage products and the 170 was almost as loud as the other one that's more money. So I just went with this one after seeing that vid. hope that's helpful. Very happy with it thus far.

If ran into a 16 ohm cab how many watts will i be working with?

It’s 170 watts at 4 ohms. So theoretically 8 ohms would be 85 watts and 16 ohms would be 42.5 watts.

How many watts is the power supply? can i substitute a dewalt 20v or ryobi 18v battery if i wire the terminals correctly?

There is no outboard power supply. The power cable is a standard computer power cable. In the U.S., that's 120v AC.

How loud is it in a live performance? I do play in a rock metal band with 2 guitars and I wonder if I can use it as a main clean amp live

It gets loud enough to over power the drummer
