I was initially delighted that the Signs and Symbols book arrived on time and without hesitation I browsed through each section. There is without doubt useful information describing some symbols in detail and there symbolism. I did like the information on animal totems, ancient runes, symbols of protection, some dream symbols and not forgetting the the Angelic Sigils and prayers. No doubt it will come in handy, for now it was a dictionary type book I was interested in with all the pictures and meanings of all the ancient symbols.

I loved this book! It is clearly for people who, like me, are quite ignorant regarding symbols, how they operate and how to use them.This book is fascinating and very clearly written, as always with Mari. She does not go into too much details regarding the symbols, and it can sometimes appear "only" as a list of all symbols known to man in each category. That list is in itself quite interesting, although I would have liked to see a picture for the symbols I did not know or was not sure of, rather than having to google them myself.The different chapters are clearly defined and focus on a different type of symbol, which makes for clear and easy reading, as one may not be necessarily interested in a type of symbol. I was not personnaly attracted to the Astrological glyphs, but things may change overtime. I was far more interested in sigils and runes.For some people, reading this book will be about learning or boradening their minds, but for others, like me, this will be the first step towards a whole new and interesting world. I have discovered an interest in sigils and runes, and this book has made me want to find out more about them and how to use them. As always with Mari, she gives us the basic tools we need to make a start and decide what we want to do ourselves with the knowledge she is imparting us. Another Great Book by Mari Silva, throughly fascinating about symbology that feeds into everyday life today! I Highly recommend reading.

First, I would like to say "Thank You" to Mari Silva for blessing us with, yet, another great book.  She starts this book off discussing some of the widely known symbols in the world, i.e., the Apple Logo, Shell Logo, and Nike Swoosh, just to name a very. The author provided this information to introduce the fact that symbols in the Occult are just as well-known and important. Take for example the Pentagram, the Hexagram and other various symbols and signs.Mari Silva discussed some of the many Archangels and how they can help, in addition to learning which is best suited to help us in a particular situation.I, particularly, always enjoy learning color meanings and she gives a brief meaning of the colors of feathers. Quite impressive. Plus, I find it very beneficial that she has included in this book various prayers to some of the Archangels.She discusses the Zodiac Wheel and the planetary glyphs, along with totem animals and one can recognize one's totem animal. Silvia provided a list of some totem animals, their meaning and how totem animals are associated with one's zodiac sign. I love the information she provided in the chapter on the symbols of protection.This book is filled with various symbols, signs, their meaning and the benefits of creating sigils.Highly recommend this book for anyone serious about their occult working.

A few of these I personally know more about and felt different information would have been more pertinent, also a small picture of each symbol beside all definitions would have helped, but all in all informative and good read
