This lid, which was made specifically for the container it goes with, was a big disappointment. I expected the lid to fit snugly, you know, that it would go snap and hold and that it might require a bit of effort to remove. Like a lot of lids on plastic containers. This lid just sits there and try as I may, I cannot get it attached to the container. Considering that the container is meant for food, this is a definite letdown.

This is the lid that should have come with the Rubbermaid bin that I ordered. The lid sits in place- does not “lock”. In place. That being said, it is pretty sturdy- so other bins can be stacked on top of it , if need be.

The lids fits a bit loosely. If you are a commercial user you might expect this to retain liquids; it will not. If the container were filled with liquid, such as soup, this lid would pop off as you drive. I don't use the container for liquids thinner than a casserole so it is great for me.

Description says: Closure Type Snap - it neither snaps nor seals. Just sits on top. Definitely not NSF nor commercial grade
