The Barrel Shack Sherazade - Handmade Trunk with Leather Details from

Piece of you know what! Horrible x 10. Hinges were falling out due to screws stripped out of the holes. The leather trim was strained sloppily and cut poorly. Quality of this item is below sub standard. They want to charge $1,450 for it? Not even worth $14.50.

nice to look at and great at the end of a bed for extra linens--construction good thanks for the opportunity to buy it at the winners price--as the runner up it allowed me to obtain--now I have 2 of them !!!

Beautifully made and lovely to look at. Smaller than expected which is better for me. Fits right in front of my arm chair and makes a perfect rest for my feet. I also realized that it will slide right into a narrower closet, if, that is, I wanted to hide it from view. It's a really perfect place to store the clutter that comes out once in a while and builds up on tables and shelves. A cluttered room becomes a spic and span clear runway featuring my Sherazade trunk. The quality leather trim covers every corner and edge and totally accents the center. In short, I'm very pleased with this portable storage area that rather than hidden from view, engages interest with its quality construction and extreme good looks.

Beautifully made but smaller than I thought

Complete rip off!!!! I could have made one better myself. The leather is such a poor grade quality. The Canvas has air bubbles from where they glued it on, seriously you could not rob the air bubbles out. The size and larger than a bread box but not by much and for the price that's robbery because there is no craftsmanship in this as I'm discovering with any of their products. The leather straps with the buckles only snaps into place the buckles or not Functional. For this price point it should be flawless for a small canvas covered box slightly larger than a bread box with a little leather striping. Beware beware cheaply made

The construction seems sturdy, and it is nice to look at, but the details are very cheap. At best this is a nice decoration, but not very functional to use as a trunk.- The leather is thin and looks as if it will tear easily.- The handles are barely robust enough to lift the weight of the trunk WHEN EMPTY. They are also just a strip of leather tacked on the side, not a professionally crafted leather handle like you might find on a leather bag.- The "brass studs" easily come out (such as when you try to lift by the leather strap handles), and are really just pretty thumb tacs.- The closure is just a couple of magnetic button snaps, unlike the product description which states "leather buckles secure the Sherazade closed". The buckles are decorative, they serve no functional purpose in the closure of the trunk, so that description is in fact misleading.In summary, as a decorative piece it's lovely and will look great in the corner of my office. As a trunk I can store things in - and expect to move when full of stuff without breaking the handles - it's a failure, and an overpriced one.

The trunk is a great decorative piece that goes well in my living room. It has a lot of storage and moves easily.
