I recently had a surgery that requires me to constantly buy new clothes for absolutely perfect fits during recoverey, and it's expensive and exhausting to deal with. I finally had this idea: What if I just bought suuuuuper durable safety pins and used them to tighten the dense clothes I'm supposed to wear (think somewhere between kevlar and a corset)? It works!These are powerful safety pins. Not a single issue with these coming undone or bending when pushed through super dense fabrics. The hardest part is pushing it through, not whether the safety pin can handle it. The only thing I'd change is that I wish there were pins in smaller sizes, too, like 1.5" and maybe even 1.25". But I LOVE the size variation. Other sets I looked at didn't have that, and the varied sizes have already come in really handy.So, don't hesitate. Buy this!

These are very heavy duty, I used then to hold Velcro pieces together on a winter jacket where the Velcro was weak and these pins pushed through about six layers of heavy material.

Great that have a variety pack to work with various style and size sweaters.
