Got this for a 40gal axolotl tank. I was initially turned off by the price but finally decided to buy it with summer coming up. Not going to lie, it was a little confusing to set up. I had to look up a video and come back to look at other people’s reviews for help. However, once I figured it out, it was extremely easy to set up and get the temperature settings saved. This is SO quiet when the fan kicks on - the motor for the bubbler in my tank is louder. It’s so nice not having to constantly check the temperature or make adjustments to the room anymore. Just set it and forget it. Totally worth the money; wish I got it sooner!

Chillers are so expensive and while I didn't want to cheap out and and get something that possible wouldn't work or break after a week of use, I also didn't want to spend $700 on a chiller. After much research I decided on this one based on the price, size and reviews. I'm beyond pleased with it and so happy with my purchase. It's small(ish), quiet and keeps my tank cool. I connected it to my cannister filter, which was super easy and set it to 63° and set F1 to 1° so that the tank won't get over 64°. It keeps the water at the temperature I set it to, which means a happy axolotl!

This chiller works great for my 20 gallon axolotl tank. I live in PA so summers are hot but it has no problem keeping up on second floor of my house. House temps will often be high 70's or low 80's on second floor of house. Our chiller is set to 64 degrees F and it keeps up no problem.The chiller died about 2 weeks before the 1 year warranty was up. I sent a message to the seller and a replacement chiller was promptly sent. It arrived 3 days later and it is working great!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I bought this chiller for my 36 gallon bow front with the intention of setting up an axolotl tank. I was using a fluval 207 canister filter to run through it, after zero instruction on how to properly run a filter through it, I spent hours getting it set up. Had to go to a hardware store for proper fittings and have zero leakage, however, I ran the filter through it for one month with the chiller set to 68, but I noticed it never turned on even when the tank temp was 74 degrees. I followed the troubleshooting and Even replaced the temperature sensor inside like the chiller instructions suggested, made sure it wasn’t in a cabinet or crowded space, and adjusted the temp it thought the tank was. Its temperature on the display is nowhere near what the actual temp of the tank is no matter how much adjusting I did. I had to turn the chiller down to 45 degrees to have it maintain the proper temperature of 64 degrees for my axolotl. Ambient temperature in the house being 72-74 degrees. Complete waste of money, it won’t even maintain the desired temp when I have the temperature turned down that low. And I can’t contact the seller to request a refund or get help on what I can do to make it work properly. Feels like I threw $300 out the window.

This chiller is at the end of my bed in a 40 gallon setup!! It’s so quiet I don’t even here it and it’s on point!! My house temp is about 74 (which is wayyyy to warm for me, I don’t pay that bill lol) soooo my tank had to have a chiller!! This was easy to assemble and is great!!! Stays exactly where I set the temp!! I did attach a sling to the outlet hose bc it’s strong!!! Waiting on the spray bar I ordered for this to slow flow! Can’t say more good things but I’ve shared on all my Fb groups for axolotls!! Can’t add pic but looks sleek and is a decent size. So check your measurements. I love that it doesn’t put off as much heat as my 16 liter chiller!! Which I had purchased two for each of my tanks! Maybe soon!! Give this a 12/10!! Lol!!

Won't Last A Year, Don't Bother ! Sounds Like My Refrigerator After 6 Months.... Plug Motor Burnt Internally... No Support.

1 week in and am happy with this chiller. I purchased to chill my 29 gallon axolotl tank. So far everything is working great. I set the temp to 64 with +/- 1 degree fluctuation. My tank stays a constant 64.8 degrees according to my digital thermometer. My house AC is set to 70 and with fans the temps would range from 65-69 degrees depending on the ambient humidity in the house. We got tired of frequently having to drop in frozen bottles to keep the temps down. After setting up this chiller our temps have been nice and stable.I first used the included tubing and pump to setup and test the chiller for 48 hours to ensure it worked properly out of the box. The included pump is not great. The outlet fitting doesn't stay in place and just pops out. I had to use some plumbing thread tape to make it tighter and stay in place. (-1 star).I didn't want to keep using the separate pump and running a canister filter, so I routed everything so my filter path is as follows: Filter in tube -> canister filter/pump -> filter out tube -> chiller in ->chiller out -> filter spray bar out into the tank.

It keeps a 45-gallon at 62 all year long. It even kept up when the AC went out in my house, and it was 85 degrees inside
