EASY PEASY!!
This is the most amazing product of any kind I've ever bought. First, I'm 81 yrs old. I opened the package, took it out of the box, set it on the toilet seat, twisted the lever 3-4 times. And it worked! It's solid as a rock. I had the other one for over 25 years and had to use the bathroom door handle to get up off of it. I automatically reached for the door handle and forgot ..... I didn't need it! Presto. I'm up and about. Honestly, I couldn't wait to sit down and write about it, well, of course I went to my office first to sit down, as there's no computer in my bathroom:)) But you get the idea. You or anyone else can do this!!

Sturdy
Has a nice clamp to keep seat from sliding around. The know on the clamp has a tendency to catch on clothes, but other than that, it's comfortable and stable.

Holds urine odder something fierce.
This product does raise the commode seat for those who need same. Unfortunately they also retain urine odder, even when sprayed with an odder eliminator. Taken out and washed, the odder returns after one use. We finally removed these and used the arm attachment device we purchased to allow the use of the regular seat. What a difference. The smell has not returned. Two changes would make these rate a 5 star rating: 1. Use a nonporous material that would not allow the urine to be absorbed. 2. Redesign the lower portion so it causes the urine, which gets on the seat inside, to fall away from the seam between the toilet and the seat.
