Quality truck, Reasonably priced
The media could not be loaded. Bought this for my husband who is into rock crawling. He loves it. It’s definitely a quality truck. Stock right out of the box, he took it out to a state park and crawled all over rocks, tree branches and up small dirt hills. Since he’s purchased it, he’s upgraded the rims, wheels and under-links. He did have to trim the wheel wells to accommodate for the larger tires but it was super easy with a sharp pair of scissors. He plans to do other modifications in the near future. Ran this truck for over an hour on one charge and it still had juice left. Battery life outlasted his other crawlers. It’s had a few tumbles but the durability holds up well. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonably priced crawler that you can make modifications to.

Took a Chance....it was worth it !!!!!
I had been looking for my first 1/10 rc truck. I have a few 1/24 and 1/18's... And decided it was time to next step up. I had saved some money and was looking for options in my budget range of $250.... When I took a closer look at this truck as new was $350. But upon closer look, I noticed there was a "Used" options listed and was $100 less. Which was my budget. Stayed was new in box.... I took a chance since last one and purchased it. It arrived earlier than expected and in totally new sealed box. I did not see any damage to the packaging. As I opened the box, everything was still sealed well, plastic covers and zip ties all in place. This was a great purchased.... I highly recommend catching these when they say it's new but lowered price. I would jump on it. This truck will be turning into a jeep build overall. I have ran the truck 3 times, I'm using the ZEEE 5200mah batteries. And have not ran them down yet. I'll look forward to modding this truck. Thank You.

Why green of all colors?
Purchased this in green, of which green is so not My favorite color. After I got the vehicle, the green didn't look so bad and began to grow on Me. This is a great beginner truck, or a great truck for those looking to add a good solid RC truck to their collection. Typically, with Axial vehicles, I always want to upgrade them to improve their performance. This is one of those RC vehicles that runs good out of the box without upgrades, and of course, probably a beast with weight down low. I Am going to run this vehicle stock for several months before I even consider upgrading it.I chose a Spektrum IC3 2S 5000mAh battery and I have more than enough juice for what I do (primarily rough terrain and light mud. Actual rock crawling is okay, but NOT my primary objective.Articulation and modulation are pretty good. There is no On or Off switch, so the remote needs to be turned on prior to connecting the battery so that the vehicle doesn't accidentally move potentially damaging something. When finished using, disconnect the battery first and turn off the controller last. Always disconnect Your battery immediately after usage. On a last note, one of the first things that You MUST do upon receiving the Base Camp RC is TRIM the rear of the front fenders because they rub something awful when the vehicle is turning and articulating at the same time (I hate modifying RC bodies, but in this case, it was VERY necessary.) Only a few mm needs to be removed. Secondly, You MUST also loosen the front bumper and slide it out and away from the vehicle one (1) notch. This will prevent the wheels from scrubbing the front bumper while turning. Do the aforementioned two things and You will love this vehicle. Axial really needs to do better with this particular body and its front fender wells.I would still recommend the Base Camp as is because it is really a nice truck, a.k.a. unlicensed Toyota Tacoma. A great truck with a lot of potential.

Very capable out of the box and extremely customizable.
The media could not be loaded. This thing is a blast and the first RC vehicle that I've owned in over 20 years. Things have come a long way. I wanted to try a crawler for the first time, and my personal experience is that this is a great entry point for a 10th scale crawler. It has been very durable with the only broken part for me so far being the front axle housing. It happened after a very high fall and then me continuing to drive it afterwards. If you like to tinker, be warned that customizing and modifying this thing can be as fun if not more than driving it. I have already changed so much. Your first mod should be trimming the body and bumpers. I also recommend going with a smaller 3s battery like a 2200Mah and mounting it next to the steering servo for some front weight.

Great fun. Add a battery and your good to go.
Went out with a buddy and played around with our RC trucks at a gravel pit. His is a bit modified and mine is stock. Only things he had on me were grip(aftermarket tires and foams) and he was a little faster(upgraded motor) but we were both surprised at how capable it is out of the box. Very happy with this purchase and will be putting many 1/10's of miles on this bad boy.

Cool little truck
Basic truck that is very capable without paying for all the bells and whistles. I'm running mine on a 2200mah 3S mounted up front behind the front bumper. I also pulled the bumpers in so they don't catch on as many rocks. Body is a generic style that reminds me of a Tacoma. Definitely my go to machine for crawling/light bashing.

Vary nice
Absolutely love the truck was exactly what I was looking for I am a content creator and wanted something that would be very reliable and perform good. This is one of the best trucks out of the box I have ever driven.

Best crawler so far out of the box
Absolutely no kidding. We’ve got several crawlers and this thing even out-crawled our stock Phoenix portal. And with a little bit of brass, it’s an absolute beast on the rocks. And also great for trailing.
