Top notch mini rice cooker
This is probably the best mini rice cooker for 1 person, without breaking a bank. I love the ceramic inner bowl, and the utensils it comes with. The device is very compact, perfect for small kitchens or if you have little storage space, and it looks beautiful. The control panel is easy to read and use, and because it is like-touch control, it's easy to clean. Most importantly, it cooks perfect rice for 1-2 people. This is the only rice cooker I found to be able to perfectly cook a small single portion of rice (half a cup of uncooked rice, about 90ml). I really needed it just for that, single portion of rice, as I have a full size multicooker, which I love, and which can cook, steam, roast and bake a variety of dishes, but the minimum amount of rice in my multicooker is just too much for myself. This Tsuki cooker can also handle other pulses, like pearl barley, and can be used as a clay pot. The keep warm function does work for 24 hrs, although I found it is best to use the cooked food within 12-15 hours. After cooking, all it needs is just a wipe with a damp cloth on the inner lid and rim, and wash clean the ceramic bowl. The power cord detaches from the unit, and can be stored inside the bowl when not in use. This little beauty is worth every penny.

Love this rice cooker !!
I was never very good at cooking rice and have seen people on the internet using them. So after searching and reading reviews I decided to purchase the YumAsia Tsuki mini rice cooker. I now use it nearly every day. In the morning I make oat porridge and use it to make rice for dinner.I love the size of the machine, doesn't take up much room on the counter. Nice clean looking design. I got it in white. Easy to use. Just use the scoop that's included to measure your rice or oats. Add to the ceramic bowl, then fill to the appropriate line with water. 'Ive even added some cinnamon to my oats when cooking. Close the lid, push start (on) then select the menu type of rice / porridge cooking. Once it's finished it's cooking it automatically goes into keep warm mode. This is amazing, keeps food hot until you're ready making it really easy to get the rest of the meal together. Clean up is even easier, I turn the machine off then add water to the bowl to soak it until I'm ready to hand wash it. So far I've only tried Porridge, Basmati and Jasmine rice. Used the Yumami rice function once too. Rice is fluffy and tasty., No more stodgy, over or undercooked rice again. I haven't tried the delayed start programme yet, but Im sure it will work just as well.

Does what it says, perfect everytime
The best rice cooker by far, perfect rice everytime, even small half cup portions. Incredibly easy to use, "fuzzy logic" works across all the rice types and recipes. Automatic keep warm function is brilliant and doesn't need extra water added until quite a few hours later. Ceramic cooking bowl needs to be treated carefully but no more so than a plate or glass.

Makes some of the best rice I've ever had, but a few design issues
Firstly, this device looks great and works even better. With the Yumami setting especially, it makes some of the most delicious rice I've ever had. The interface is simple and intuitive, and overall I never feel I need to think much about how to use it for rice. The included utensils are of excellent quality and have thoughtful aspects that make you realise they really thought about how to design them well. However, it's got a couple of design flaws that are quite annoying.Firstly, the seals at the top get very steamy and wet. Understandably, but it gets in the crevices in a way that it probably shouldn't. I have to remember to do a proper thorough drying of them every time and get into the crevices as I would worry a lot about mould potentially growing there if not.Secondly, the "porridge" setting is a great idea but seems fundamentally flawed. Using their provided recipe, I'm utterly unable to get the porridge to cook in a way that doesn't cause it to boil over about 10 minutes into the process. That causes oaty goo to come oozing out of the steam vent at the top, which is an absolute pain to clean both on top of the machine and inside the vent filter. It's quite gross. I've found I can stop it doing this by opening the lid to reduce the bubbling/rise about 8 minutes in, but it's about as far from "set it and forget it" as I can imagine - I actively have to remember to deal with it or else it will make an annoying mess that takes a while to clean up.

The Real Deal
This is far superior to the other rice cookers that I have tried. It has an earthenware bowl. Just to note this small size should not put you off, it can cook plenty of rice for a family. I have also made daal in it and it has turned out really good. It can also be used as a small slow cooker, I have used it to make soup as well. It is the earthenware bowl that makes the difference. It is not the cheapest, but it is by far the best that I have used. I have had it for a couple of months now and I am really pleased with the quality, and versatility.

Brilliant! Why haven't I bought a rice cooker before now?!
Tsuki is brilliant! We've had this fab rice cooker just a few days but have already made amazing Thom Hai rice with great umami, and even the best quinoa ever. I did a lot of research before buying and Tsuki felt like the best compromise between price, quality (clay pot) and quantity of cooking (1-4 people). The machine is super easy to operate, with long grain, short grain, brown rice and a few 'bonus' settings such as slow cook (rice pudding) on offer. The instruction booklet is well written, easy to follow and the machine arrives really well packaged. Incedently, if you're short on space, this Yum Asia model is also great 'cos it isn't so big.All in, I'd definitely recommend Tsuki. It makes great rice and other bean / pulse / grain dishes with great aplomb! Buy with confidence.
