Excellent quick-install sealable gasket!
I used this product in an unusual way by cutting into my main supply HVAC air duct and installing a door of metal tin. To seal the door closed when the air system is running, I used this gasket. My HVAC fan runs with no leakage through the gasket, and I now have an accessible door I can use to open/close a damper inside the duct and to work inside the duct. The one side of the gasket I gorilla-glued onto the tin door, and the other side closes on the duct through the magnetic strips inside the gasket. My only criticism is that the magnetic strips inside the gasket seem a little weak - leastwise, it isn't very strong when applying to my medal duct. To counter this, I have a weight propped against the door to keep the gasket pressing nicely against the metal duct. I have still given the product a five star rating because the magnetic strips probably would work better on a refrigerator, the intended use for the product.

Poor quality and terrible fit
This was far from universal in my case. Didn’t fit whatsoever. After an hour I tried to modify the seal for the refrigerator I have. Once I got it on there the seal was less good than what I took off. Eventually I just put the old seal back on. Don’t waste your money.

Thought this would work but it didn't
Old gasket was same thickness and width as this one. Couldn't order OEM gasket because the company went out of business. I read a number of reviews for input on how best to install based on trial and error by others.Install went well. Had to take door off and remove many many screws in order to take off old gasket. Put new pieces in place and then I made cuts to match up the pieces using a razor knife. I used a marine adhesive to join them. Got the adhesive from HD for about $6. Everything went perfectly. Remounted the door and it wouldn't shut all the way unless I pushed on the door, but as soon as I let go the door popped open. The new gasket didn't have the flexibility of the old gasket, and the magnet in the new gasket isn't as strong as the old gasket. There is some adjustment for the door but even at the furthest point the issue remained.Oh well

Not quite what I was hoping for, but they work as well, so no problem.
Unfortunately, a photo of the cross-section wasn't included in the listing, so I knew I was taking a shot in the dark on whether or not it'd work well enough. I was HOPING for a drop-in replacement for what I was replacing. These have a lip, rather than a stab-in bit. However, I was able to remove the rails on my fridge, and use those to secure the lip, as if it was a long, multi-holed, fender washer. I probably should have pried the plastic inner part of the door off, and slid the lip between the two parts of the door, but I didn't.Still, for a non-OEM replacement, they're very good. Also, the magnets stick out of both ends of all four corners, and can be pulled free easily. This makes trimming the two separately, and in a way that the magnet part overlaps the gasket part, easy to accomplish.Edit. Fridge is reassembled and running, in adverse conditions, (hot room), and is doing great. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. Also, I attached a photo of the seal, with the strip pulled back to reveal the rail that's holding it in place.

Great value for a generic door seal
Came handy to fix my fridge door seals that was discontinued by the manufacturer so I had to give this generic seal a try. Even though this set was little wider than what I needed, but with some modifications I was able to use a piece of this seal and some of the magnetic strips that came with it to fix the portion needed for my fridge door. It ended up worth it fir me.

don't buy this item
Awful. Terrible. Not universal at all. Had to cut the old gasket apart to take it off. Trimmed the new one to size only to find that it's too thick. The door won't close at all now and I'm too broke to buy a new, correct, gasket for another two weeks. Don't bother with this item.

Universal does not necessarily mean correct
Overall, it's probably a decent door seal. However, as the title states, universal does not mean it's the correct product for the job.It would be better if this was a 2 piece kit. However, you get 4. Thereby ratcheting up the complexity of the build and adds many more opportunities for the install to fail.My advice to anyone looking for a new door seal is to use this or really any other "universal" gasket as an absolute last resort.Try the following first:1) take a hair dryer or heat gun and warm your existing gasket in place and see if it has just collapsed a bit and won't seal.2) flip your gasket. Literally, remove it and rotate it 180 degrees. Top becomes bottom and most importantly, the hinge side becomes the handle side. Then, make sure you heat up the gasket so that the thicker side that's now in your hinge side is able to collapse and your door can close. Also, heat up the new handle side so that it can expand back to the correct size. You may have to press and hold the door closed so that the magnets have a chance to reach the door. Take your time. Depending on how old the fridge is, it may take some patience for the gasket to respond. But it should if given the time. After you have the gasket touching and sealing all the way around, keep the door closed overnight. If you feel the need to, tape it shut to keep it nice and tightly closed.3) if at all possible, get a one piece gasket that fits your door. These cut to fit ones just aren't worth the trouble.Good luck with your fix. YouTube is your friend.
