Whole family can watch beautiful nature
After hearing about this show and watching the trailer I was extremely excited to start watching, and when I started doing so I quickly realized this was even above my expectations.I honestly had not felt this way about a documentary since Planet Earth and Planet Earth 2, two documentaries that really went above and beyond compared to anything else from their time, pioneering and taking documentary making to the next level.Such is the case with "The Green Planet" which presents itself as a legitimate heir, able to withstand the weight of the crown. The most impressive and revolutionary aspect of the show is without a doubt the way in which they managed to capture the dynamism of plant life , greatly thanks to revolutionary camera and filmmaking technology and know-how, produced by a team of veterans, toped with the well-polished narrative style of David Attenborough and backed by what I can only imagine were hours upon hours of extensive and well-directed work. This is an absolute gem of a documentary series and I would greatly recommend it to anyone.

Truly awe inspiring
When you watch something on TV & it educates you about the wonders of the world, it's worth buying it on DVD to watch it over and over. Time lapsed photography, especially at the caliber this production crew has created, blows your mind and Never gets old! Nature reveals itself on a level most people haven't seen. This DVD series should be shown in schools. The filming of cactus and succulents is beyond words.

A beautiful, wonderful series
The cinematography and the direction are amazing. I watched this in wonder. And yes, David Attenborough is the best narrator but I feel that the people behind the camera were really the stars in this instance. I watched the series on PBS and I hope that the blu-ray has longer behind-the-scene footage showing us how they did it.

Stunning!
First, the cinematography here is stunning! The talent and time that went into filming this is incredible. Second, David Attenborough is wonderful as usual. No matter how many years go by his enthusiasm continues to be palpable and contagious. Finally, this is an absolutely fascinating look at plant life. I've learned so much about plants, both in my backyard and in far flung ecosystems. After watching this I feel like I'm seeing plants in an entirely new light. Just like Blue Planet, I expect my family will watch this many, many times.

Not Quite The Same
If you watched this show on PBS, there are some differences between these discs and what was broadcast. The on screen appearances of David Attenborough as well as the behind the scenes extras are missing. Both of these were included with other BBC nature shows on disc. Nevertheless, the HD video is quite stunning.

The natural world thru a plants perspective. Amazing documentary. BBC Earth has outdone itself on this one. I've watched it 3 times, and it is just amazing.

Amazing
David Attenborough, in his 90s, still gets excited over new discoveries. And, he's still a wonderful presenter. I thought I was watching the movie Avatar when he showed how some plants interact with each other. That was so amazing. David and the BBC crew are jewels in the crown. Thank you.

David Attenborough Delivers Essential Insights into Nature, Human Nature, and How & Why we are here.
Dr Attenborough is a gifted spokesman for science, for Nature and for our Planet. The understanding he brings is absolutely thrilling ! He shows us how green plants teamed up with fungi have made life on earth what it is today

Incredible Photography
The photography proves this team has greatly evolved their capturing abilities and techniques, and this is perhaps one of the most brilliant nature series ever produced. Atmos is incredible as well.
