I had not used this spice before. I had to read online about how to use it. I really enjoyed the flavor. Not having tasted it before I can't speak to the freshness or strength of the flavor.

The alligator pepper is very satisfactory

This has been my first time ordering Alligator pepper, and I've become an instant fan. They have a taste that's like black pepper, just a whole lot stronger. I'd imagine that alligator pepper goes well in any savory dish that isn't delicate. You get a lot here for the price, so it should last a few dishes.

This spice came very crumbly and seemingly over-dry and messy to use. I've never used this particular spice before so I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to come but in any case it's difficult to use.

This is something you can use with almost any protein, but I wouldn't use it in vegetable or pasta dishes. You must break the pods and remove the peppercorns.

I guess I never figured out how to properly use these. They don't really have a taste, and if there is any special way they are supposed to be prepared, I am unaware. They come with no instructions on how to use so I may be missing something, I don't know.
