Faster (and louder) than a standard blowdryer
I got this dryer today and used it after my dog's bath. It was pretty easy to put the hose together, although I think the instructions could have been a bit more detailed (it's just a series of images). It also comes with an extra filter, but I didn't know that until I opened the back to put the included filter in and saw there already was one inserted. For anyone confused, take the little ridge ring that's on the hose off (it slides right off), stick that side of the hose onto the cylinder section sticking out of the vacuum, then put the ring back onto the hose in the same spot. The ring has little plastic clips that "lock in" to the ridge on the vacuum's cylinder piece, so the hose can't fly off. For the filter, just unscrew the little metal knob on the backend of the vacuum and pop the filter in or out.The vacuum had a slight plastic smell for the first minute of using it, but it went away quickly. I noticed the hose felt mildly hot while using it without the heat turned on, but the actual airflow wasn't hot (I kept checking throughout drying my dog to make sure). It took a little while to dry her, and the airflow never got any hotter, which was what I was hoping for.My dog is very anxious about anything new, so she was pretty scared at first by the loud noise and the power of the airflow. It's quite a bit louder and stronger than a standard human blowdryer, especially with an attachment on the hose. I did little short "trials" with her at first and also blew it on myself a few times to show her it wasn't scary or painful. She's very praise-driven, so I made a huge happy deal about her letting me blow it on her for a few seconds at a time. After a few tries, she calmed down and let me blow it at her for a full dry session; she almost seemed to enjoy it once she realized it was drying her (she doesn't enjoy being wet). The hose is luckily long because she wanted to sit across the bathroom from me the majority of the dry session, so I could still get at her easily. The air is fairly strong with an attachment on the lowest setting, but I slowly ramped it up to about 1/4 power as I went. I'm not sure you'd want to ever use the max airflow on a dog, and you should be careful with the power level if you're drying at a closer range to your dog than I was; my dog is double-coated, and 1/4 power easily parted her fur down to her skin from a couple feet away and could blow on my skin hard enough to make a "dent" at about 6 inches away. It was definitely much faster than a normal blowdryer, but it wasn't quite as fast as I was hoping for. I think using the heat would shorten the time quite a bit, but she gets hot easily, so I didn't try it out this time. She always has a bunch of big cowlicks on her back. I was hoping this dryer would be able to straighten those out, but her fur really wants to dry wavy there, so it unfortunately was already drying all wonky before she let me do her back. I'm hoping she'll let me use the comb-like attachment after a few more baths to see if that helps finally smooth out the fur there.

Just what I needed and hoped it would be
I’ve only used it once so far, but I felt compelled to write a review. This dryer is fantastic! My dog is short/medium haired, but he’s double coated and his coat is very dense. It used to take me hours to get him fully dry, using a combination of several towels and my hair dryer. When I first turned this dryer on, I couldn't believe how strong the air flow was on the lowest setting, and was thrilled that the warm air temperature was just right and it never got hotter. You can tell the quality of this dryer by the hose alone. It’s a proper, sturdy, very well made hose (as are all of the accessories) and it’s a breeze (pun intended 🤣) to use. Considering how strong the air flow is, it’s remarkably quiet. My dog is very tolerant of grooming, but was a bit taken aback by the power of this dryer, then quickly realized there’s nothing to be scared of. I’m so impressed and I only hope it will continue to operate just like this for years to come.P.S. Yes, there was a faint plasticky smell when I first turned it on, but it quickly dissipated.

Great Product!
This dog dryer is a total game-changer. I bought it because it looked like the one we use at our local self dog wash—and wow, it did not disappoint.I usually spend about 30 minutes drying my 13 lb malti-poo with a standard hairdryer, but with this dryer, it took under 10 minutes. The airflow is strong and the nozzle attachments are super helpful. I used two of them, and they really helped cover more area fast.My pup wasn’t a fan of the air on his face at first, but I turned the speed down and he was much more comfortable. Honestly, his face was the only part that took a little longer. Now I don’t dread giving him baths at home. This dryer makes the whole process so much easier—and faster!

Better than a hair dryer
It's a pain trying to get our 18 lb Cavapoo dry after a bath. My wife's blow dryer left a lot to be desired for the task. I decided to get this dog dryer and give it a try. It does a better job, but it's still a chore to get him dry. The heat is either on or off, but the fan speed can be adjusted. We wish it had some level of heat adjustment (at least High/Low). It isn't necessarily less noisy than a hair dryer, but at least the noise is not up close to the dogs face. The unit seems to be good quality.

Dry happy dog after a bath.
Very durable, bought this for our dogs 3 years ago. Motor is strong enough to help blow out their coats and dry them, but gentle enough not to freak them out. They have both crossed the rainbow bridge and it still works. We now use it for our German shepherd/Doberman mix. Best thing to have to quickly dry her and not use 4 towels.Ease of use:very easy to useHeat level:heat is mild-not too hot for our dog Size:fits in a storage bin when not being used

Loving this product!
The time saving I got with this one was soo perfect. I used it for three golden retrievers, it’s also the perfect size for when you want to groom them in other places. Speed it’s a good one but the air never gets hot or warm. So it’s always normal air but with a lot of speed that water comes out. Really durable and less time when you work with it! I got the black one to match the grooming table.

I would buy it again~
Receieved this yesterday, and tried it out for the first time. I have a fluffy small dog, we think she is part Papillon, could have some Pekinese in her, we are not sure, she was a rescue dog. This thing dried her in a short time, maybe 15 minutes or so, and definitely got some of the undercoat blown out, which was definitely needed. The cost of this would be 2 visits to the groomer to shampoo, dry and comb out. Definitly worth the money, as I'll no longer need to pay to get her groomed.
