Perfect addition!
The media could not be loaded. It was time to replace old salt/pepper grinders and these are great. Out of the box they are attractive and the glass is thick and sturdy. The tops screw off for easy filling. Once full, adjust to the grind consistency you want. Turn and grind. The adjustable grind settings, and lid with a wide opening or small opening make these super easy and functional to use!

Better than initially thought
Have been buying the course salt and pepper grinders at Costco for a while and liked them. They usually quit grinding about half or three quarters through the bottle. My smart little wife decided to buy these. I first thought "what a waste of money". After using these a couple of times - I get it! Now they are used everyday. Grind the salt or pepper fresh into the lid, turn the dial - now you have a shaker! Remove the top and grind the fresh salt or pepper directly unto your food. Sometimes I just don't give her enough credit.
