I opened this up and went to put some in a drink (per other reviewers suggestions!) And the first scoop had some kind of animal hair in it. Very unsanitary for a product meant to be consumed. So I'm not sure if it'll make my hair grow faster, but I'll just use it externally. TYVM. And I haven't seen it improve my hair (yet!) So I can't comment on that.

Used with a combination of other powders like Moringa, Aztec clay and once with henna. These combined helped define my natural hair pattern and my cousins hair. Before or after the masks I have to use an oil treatment or conditioner and my hair looks and feels amazing.

Actual weight does not equate to what is written on the bag. It is not actually 8 oz, as seen in the picture. Otherwise, it's been working as expected. Works well with my hair, mixed with the henna to deepen the hue.

I have ordered this Brahmi powder twice and will continue to reorder. It is USDA certified organic (on the back of the package). First thing every morning I put 1/2 teaspoon in warm water and stir with a whisk. Sometimes before dinner again. Since so many reviews use this directly on their hair I wanted my review to make very clear that this can be taken internally as well. Yes in the beginning the flavor takes some getting used to (don't forget this is an herb--not chips and dip) but it is so calming to me as I sip it I enjoy a quiet moment. I don't know how long it takes to feel the calming /memory effects. Probably different for everyone. Don't judge, your body will let you know. And I have great hair!

I use this along with other Indian herbs to wash/condition my hair. Powder is finely ground and pretty easy to rinse out. I like that powder is double bagged, so you can actually close the outer bag when you're finished. Quality is excellent; my hair is strong, shiny and growing like crazy. I do wish they sold it in larger sizes.
