Insightful Review
The "Rosie Project" by Graeme Simsion was a hilarious tale about a scientist who decides to search for love. All along his way questioning if it is possible and having funny encounters while dating. My reading group decided to use this book and so I bought the review hoping that the analysis would give us more to discuss. Though we all had fallen in love with the lead character Don, we did all feel that the women were a little too understanding. Obviously a huge fight and ending of the relationship wouldn't have been desirable to the reader but the secret being revealed did seemed somewhat anti climactic. The review also talked about how references are made to Don having Asperger's syndrome. I appreciated that being included since I had picked up on some of the behaviors that seemed like they belonged to someone that had a disorder along the autism spectrum. It is clear that the writer did a thorough job reading and analyzing this book and the insight was definitely appreciated by myself and my reading group.

Great analysis
Amazon recently brought the book The Rosie Project to my attention in my suggested books section, I had no idea what the book entailed but after reading the description I decided to give it a go. I got a couple chapters into the book and came to the conclusion that I wasn't going to be able to get through the book without some sort of book analysis. I immediately went in search of a Book Buddy Sidekick for this novel found one, as always with these great companion books I was not disappointed. I was having a really difficult time understanding the main character of Don and this analysis eloquently explained Don and his psychological issues that cause him to be very aloof. I was able to reference this analysis many times while reading The Rosie Project, and it definitely made the whole experience more enjoyable!

The Rosie Project remembered
I was not hooked right away. The protagonist is too peculiar, but once I eased into his quirks and realized that he was operating with a very compulsive personality, I could appreciate the humor and sympathize with his social limitations. In fact, the story is filled with lessons for all people, whatever their social skills. And by the end, I definitely wanted to follow him into the sequel, The Rosie Effect.

a complete waste
I honestly do not understand the point of this publication. A complete waste of paper, time, and money. No thoughtful analysis or thought-provoking probes. Just elementary-school level summaries.

One Star
I thought I was getting the book but instead it was a critique of the chapters of the book.

It is an interesting read but not one of the top new books.

An Absolute Joy
Hits all the bases. I found myself laughing out loud a number of times, always with the added delight of humor delivered so subtly. Simsion has created unique characters that I loved as much for their frailties as for their triumphs. Soon as I turned the last page, I wanted to start again. This is one of those books that leaves you checking for whatever else the author has written, in the hopes of experiencing again the joy of such a great read.

Asperger's explained?
An unexpectedly funny book, with the lead character alternately amusing, sad and always entertaining. Made me think sympathetically about aspects of behaviour that seem thoughtless and uncaring at first sight. The end seemed too good to be true, but otherwise a really good thought-provoking read.

Book Buddy
Bought this by mistake but was very good to read after reading the book. Would buy book buddy books again.

con
Beware this is not the book but an analysis of book. This is a con as it does not make it clear on the description.
