Costco effective solution!
We needed a cheap way to communicate across 20 acres with several people. A quick program through chirp, and I locked them to authorized frequencies only. They're now nearly dummy proof. So far they have been working great! This summer they will for sure get a workout. For someone who knows what they're doing (and is licensed or authorized), this is a very versatile unit with several great features for the price. Are there better radios? Yes! At this price point? No!

Please beware!!! This is not a Baofeng store
Purchased 11 Radios March 10th 2024 issues with random squelch noises periodically from a few of the radios, April 6th one of the radio speaker just stopped working. Baofeng support denied an RNA support on the radio because it was NOT bought through them. You will have to pay outta pocket for repairs. Please beware. Only purchase from BAOFENG to get support and warranty please

Great way to get people started in HAM radio
Myself and several friends do talks with Prepper and MAG groups.These radios are not t he most friendly to use.But least expensive then most, and they are a great way to get people to really think about emergency communications.
