I love this trashcan, but when I searched for one to buy, I said pet safe because I foster cats. I have another one from a different company that is heavy and if you knock it over the lid has a latch so you can’t just open it with a paw. my foster cats have been into this trashcan repeatedly. It is easy for them to knock over and the top opens right up.I like everything else about it and I’m keeping it to use in rooms without cats. But unfortunately, I’ll need to buy something else for my kitchen where things like food go in it.
