Tactical Mic Leash - Mic Loop Keeps Lapel Mic in Place for Police/Law Enforcement Radio

After watching the Trooper Mark Coates shooting I never wore my radio mic on my shoulder lapels. Finding a way to keep my mic secured to the center of my shirt has always been a struggle. The devices that slipped over my shirt button eventually broke the button. I even removed the buttons and sewn them back on with fishing line or heavy duty thread but they still eventually broke. A long time ago I found a device similar to the Tactical Mic Leash that kept my mic secured to the center of my shirt. This company went out of business and I was not able to find it again. I loved it. I needed a second one for my external tac vest so I didn't have to move my original one back and forth. I just could never find one I was happy with. I found the Tactical Mic Leash and decided to give it a try since it was similar to my original one. I have had my new Tactical Mic Leash for about a week now and this product is excellent. My mic is centered on my shirt where I can reach it with either hand. I have no problems hearing any radio transmissions. I have no problem transmitted any radio traffic. My mic does not bounce around or move. I have tested it wrestling with my gear on and it has not come loose or broken free. The Tactical Mic Leash allows me to keep my eyes on the situation without having to turn my head towards either shoulder. I can run, jump and move around without concern of my mic coming loose. This product didn’t work with the ballistic vest I had. The Velcro panels were limited to the side and did not travel across the front of the vest...the loop was too short to wear strapped to the side. I found the same issue when I tried to attach to the shoulder Velcro...again too short. Wound up giving to a friend who was able to wear properly and his review was excellent. Just a word to the wise-check your vest to make sure you have enough access to Velcro to make this work.

This product is the solution!!! Our agency recently got new radios. The mic clip is much shorter and I had an issue keeping it clipped on other mic holders... in comes the tactical mic leash. It affixes to the concealed vest and can be angled as needed. The loop holds the mic securely. I loved it so much I bought it for my patrol officers...they put it on the minute it was gifted!!!!

Product worked good for me. Only problem I see was the Velcro. The Velcro is decent but seems like it will only hold up a few months. For the price it’s definitely worth it!

I love that it’s covert and simple to use. Attaches right to the Velcro of your vest. Works like a breeze. I’ve had it for a week at this point and my mic hasn’t lost its spot once. I only wish that either my vest had better placement on Velcro or that they made a mini/XL length because of the variety of vests. Otherwise, PERFECT!!

Keeps my mic in place my entire shift, hands down. Whether I'm in the car, out on foot, or in the middle of arresting somebody who doesn't really want to be arrested, this thing is awesome. Especially considering how cheap it is, I genuinely can't understand why everybody I work with hasn't bought one yet - believe me, I've tried talking them all into it! Highly recommend.

This product is terrific for the beat. Got into a physical altercation a couple weeks after wearing it and the mic didn't go anywhere, as opposed to altercations prior. I highly recommend it for the one time you absolutely need to call for backup but your mic is in some weird spot flinging around.

I would say a little pricey for what you’re getting. I could have made one myself for almost nothing. Easy as sticking 2 pieces of Velcro on each other with string between the Velcro enough to stick out and make a loop. But, it does what it’s supposed to. 3 stars for the price.
