I have been nursing a very sore ulcerated ankle bone for a long time. It is in such an awkward position and hard for me to protect. I have spent a fortune on items, socks, braces, etc. All way too cumbersome. I needed something easy to use and something to raise any material away from the sore, not having anything touching it. This product does the job. I had to invent my own carrier. Everything was so heavy and would work its way loose while sleeping. So, inexpensive white cotton socks, snug but comfy, to slide the "crescent" into and hold in place thru the night. It works and finally getting good night's sleep.

The photo is very deceiving. You assume that it covers the entire bottom of the ankle but in reality they are very tiny and wouldn’t cover enough to be of benefit for brevis tendon ankle injury. The one in my ankle brace is more than twice its size. This product is also not very thick and too soft to be of benefit inside an ace wrap. Had foot surgery and can’t wear my ankle brace and was looking for something to use in an ace wrap to help with another ankle issue. Too bad it doesn’t have adhesive to ensure it stays put Should have listened to the previous reviews

I had foam ones in the past. These are too short and pliable. They don't really mold around the ankle bone.

They are simple but effective, and look exactly like the picture. I have scrawny knoby ankles and was stuck in a Cam boot for 8 weeks. The boot would rub if I had it too loose and cause pressure sores if I had it tight enough to hold my ankle. These solved my problems. For anyone looking for tips , I did have an ace wrap around my foot and ankle and put these between the boot and the ace wrap. I found it also worked to use a large sock or the last layer of ace bandage to hold them in place.

They're ok. Fabric is soft but I don't like the small beads that are inside. I wanted to use these as padding around my ankle in my Aircast boot. The beads on the inside of these put too much pressure on my incision site.

Man was I pissed off when my medical provider suggested I buy something for my ankle on Amazon. But at least this worked pretty well, not 100%. But better than nothing. It gave me a good idea of what to request from a medical provider.

I bought after I had ankle surgery, I put them next to my skin before I wrapped my ankle with ace bandage and it gave extra protection and comfort while wearing a boot. Purchase for yourself and get added protection and comfort.
