Valerian: The Complete Collection (Valerian & Laureline), Volume 2 Hardcover – July 7, 2017

Obviously the inspiration for much of the star wars look. It is as much about Laureline as Valerian. She is the brains of the outfit.The art work is simply beautiful. There are pages that could be framed, they are so color balanced.The stories cover many of the issues that exist and anticipate some that will. Highly recommended as is the movie based on this work.

Very high quality re-print and better than paperback. The size of artwork is slightly larger than paperback because the size of paper increased which make reading much better. I'm collecting all volumes.

Arrived timely and in great condition. My husband loves the movie. He's also a big time reader, so I know he'll enjoy this. Thank you.

Things really start popping in this collection of tales. The artwork is more polished and the writing is more streamlined. Moral lessons are imparted painlessly and Laureline in never less than sexy. Check out the cheesecake shot in the second tale where she poses naked before an alien, her back to us! The translation to English is very good, not like some comics in translation that are watered down or just plain miss the mark. I love Valerian and Laureline and am already on the third volume of their collected adventures. A must for fans of European comics or fans of important comics, or fans of just good entertaining comics!

So cool to read the comics consolidated. Very well done and just a nice book over all. Definately recommend this to anyone in to comics or the new Valerian movie.

Must have for anyone who likes comics, science fiction, art.

This series is very creative, and I love the art. The style is abstract and fun (sometimes funny), while also allowing for some very creative treatments of alien creatures and landscapes.I bought each volume in the series to this point (three at this writing), and the stories in this volume are my least favorite, but they are still quite fun and were good enough to keep me hooked on the series. They also frame some social issues, without any subtly but also without coming across as moralistic fables either.All in all this book was worth my time and the cost to me.
