Could be Perfect
I have purchased 3 of these. As of today, I have been using one for 3 months and 2 for 2.5 months. Overall I like these blinds, but there are significant caveats (covered in the Ugly section) which has prevented me from buying more. What I love about these blinds:1. These function well as a blind. They block out a significant amount of light. They also are good at providing a barrier between the outside and inside. It has made a difference on hot days in the room where I installed all 3 blinds.2. They integrate directly with Home Assistant. Based on weather conditions, room occupancy and position of sun I have been able to open and close the blinds automatically to give the room optimal light and comfort. I have observed under certain circumstances that if I use the remote Home assistant will get out of sync with the blinds. I have found if I use the remote to do a full open and a full close that everything gets reset.3. They will fit any height of window up to 72 inches. This design was genius! There is a sensor at the bottom that detects when your blinds have hit the windowsill and then the blind stops opening.4. The on blind control is a nice touch to open and close the blinds. Another genius design choice! The Bad - These are minor and would not stop me from purchasing the blinds again:1. The two colors mentioned in the product page is misleading. They do come in two colors and you could change which side faces the inside, but what is left out is that if you put the white to the inside the on device controls will face outside. That would also mean that you would no longer be able to open and close the blind with the remote.2. I wish the remote was an add on purchase. It seems like a waste that a remote comes with each blinds. I have three of these in one room of the house and I don't need 3 remotes. It would be nice if the blinds were slightly cheaper with the remote sold separately.3. No valance. I wish these blinds came with a valance or that 3rd Reality sold valances separately. Without a valance most the blinds let in light at the top when mounting on the inside. I ended up making my own Valance to block this light.4. I wish 3rd Reality sold some side rails for these. The blinds are so good at blocking outside light that the light from the sides really stands out. I found these on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M0AJNLP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - that I have been using and really love. They have a magnetic side which makes them easy to take off so I can get to the blind to change batteries of open and tilt in the window to clean. The one downside is they cover the controls on the blind that opens and closes them. You can still use the remote however. The ugly - These are the reasons why I have not purchased additional blinds:1. Quality control. Both Blinds in my second purchase came slightly damaged (see picture). My first blind came as expected. Thankfully these are hidden by the side rails I installed. If I did not have the side rails I doubt my wife would approve of them (and frankly I might not either). I do wonder how these will hold up with everyday use.2. The motor on one of my blinds (which is also one of the two blinds in ugly number 1) sounds different than the other two. It sounds like it is struggling when it is Opening. It also takes a couple seconds longer to open. It has always made it to the full open position, but I am more than a bit nervous it will not last long. I will update this post if that motor ends of failing.Final verdictBased on concerns in the Ugly section I am deducting 2 stars. If they holdup over time I may restore one star. If they breakdown I may deduct additional stars. If all my blinds were like the first one I purchased this would have been a 5 star review.

Amazing Blinds, used with Home Assistant
These blinds are amazing. Never did I think I would be buying 5 of these for all of my windows, but I started with 2 and absolutely loved them. I will be buying the smaller 26 inch once they are available :)Out of the 5 blinds, 1 did come broken out of the box, but I was able to order a replacement right away and had it within a week.Pairing with Home Assistant was easy (shoutout to the HA folks), they came right up as “covers” and I was able to group them to control all blinds within the given rooms. Amazing experience and I was even able to add them to my Daily automations. With the addition of a magnet sensor (thirdreality makes these as well) you can even prevent them from going down when the windows are open (using HA for the automation).HA will also show the battery level of each blind. The batteries seem to last a while, although I haven’t replaced them yet. After only 4ish weeks of 1 up and down and 25% open in the mornings, the batteries are still at 90%. The fact that they are AA batteries is amazing. A rechargeable battery would be nice but I think the AAs keep it simple. The remote works just fine, although I notice when using the remote, the position doesn’t update in HA and you need to go all the way back up, then down again to reset it. I have primarily been using them in HA just to avoid this issue. But it’s good to know the remote is a decent backup in case HA is having issues. All in all I am very impressed with these blinds and they were well worth the money. As I mentioned, I will be buying the smaller versions in the future and will update this if I have any issues with them.

easy to use and blocks light
I have a stair window that faces east, every night we leave it open to get the cool air in, and in early morning our 88 year old grandma would climb the stairs to close the curtain, otherwise the morning sun gets pretty hot quickly. Now with this electric blind, grandma can easily use the old fashioned remote control to close the curtain, no need to climb stairs. Although the product supports voice or app control, the old fashioned way is more friendly for elderly.Upon arrival, the top right corner of the blind is squeezed, by the battery pack I think (picture 1), it's not a big issue since you can't see much damage after installation (picture 3). However, their customer service is very good, they said will mail me a new package and I don't need to return the current one.For installation, I did the inside mount, and I think their provided screw and plastic anchor may not be the best combination. For inside mount, the top of window should be wood and drywall, the anchor is only for drywall, I don't think you can put the anchor in all the way (blocked by wood). I used drywall screw (e.g. longer screw) without anchor, and it's super easy to install. The user manual should also include a picture of the finished inside mount, e.g. you only need to install the two round metal holder, and then you click in the blind. The two 90 degree holders are not for inside mount.

Great Blackout Smart Blinds With A Few Rough Edges
Great blackout quality, fairly quiet motor, mostly nice hub integration. Nice mounting options and quick clip in design. Easy access to the batteries is nice, but I with it were a little easier to get the batteries out since you can't really tip the blind once installed. I got it hooked up to the Hubitat hub, but it isn't working with Google Home through the hub and it isn't supported directly either. I had a few issues with damaged shades with my first orders due to the way it's packaged with its bits box. I contacted the company and they were very responsive to this feedback and accommodating with sending me a new better packaged blind. Overall a nice smart blind.

Value for price!
Install was very simple. Tried to connect via Echo but didn’t work. I have the Smarthings hub and with a little patience it worked.3 days in and they work great. Bought 3 and no problems so far.Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was it wouldn’t program with the Echo. However once it connected with the Smart Hub no problems. I can control with Alexa

Great idea, does the job, needs improvement!
Great idea, does the job, needs improvement!I chose to install this on the OUTSIDE of the window frame:- less installation fuss- better light blocking- generic sizing hard to mess up- keep my semi transparent roman blind stays in place at the same timePROS:- does what it's advertised to do... block out the sunlight- accordion design really makes sense- comes with remote- extremely ez to install- fast shipping- lowest cost of all researched blindsCONS:- still too pricey (Over $180 CAD seems like it should be around $100 tops)- slow and hopefully the weak sounding motor lasts a few 5 years or so- integration with Google Nest/Home not possible out of the box- remote control is bulky/monolith and needs to be perfectly aimed with 'line of sight'- no real color choices as far as I know
