I made this in a 13X9 pan with my 5 year old granddaughter. I added 2 handfuls of sweetened cocont. I could have added more. It was really good. Even better the next. I would recommend this for sure

Amazing
This cake and frosting is the best. I added a cup of soccer cream and man did it come out nice and sweet.The frosting is heaving so next time I’m going to do strawberry and whipped cream in the middle.

This cake will not disappoint
I didn’t do the layer cake. I did 9x13 . It was fantastic. Wish she had one that came in chocolate.

Best cake mix ever. Seriously.
This cake mix butters my Bundt pans. It flours my butcher block and frosts my cupcakes. It's the apple of my eye. It took me to dinner at a very nice restaurant, like nicer than Red Lobster.Seriously, I used this cake mix to make the moistest, most delicious cupcakes I've ever made. My cupcakes got so many compliments they blushed.

Need more Frosting
The flavor was Very Good the Coconut flavor was perfect. The icing flavor was good also just was not enough frosting to frost the cake the way I like I don’t like to skimp or read through it...it wasn’t quite that bad just not as. Ice as it should of been.

Frosting Can Busted Open
As much as I love Dolly Parton and her delish cake mixes and frostings, I will not purchase any more from Amazon. The pathetic packaging was probably the reason the side of the frosting container split, causing the frosting to become rancid=UNUSABLE and a waste of my money. Never again!

Better than the Barefoot Contessa's Coconut cake!
It's hard to find a good coconut cake these days. My sister sent me the barefoot Contessa Coconut cake for my birthday last year and we were sorely disappointed (not a fan of adding almond extract to the coconut cake!). My wife picked up this mix and frosting and once we made it, I can attest that the cake we made blew that very expensive cake out of the water. Note: we did purchase shredded coconut to add to this mix.
