Just what I was looking for !!! A very nice Professional Looking Key Fob to replace my broken old one (my ONLY one) that I Posses !! It even has the Genuine Mercedes Logo on it !!! Remember though, this does NOT come with the Electronic Chip-board inside of it !!! or batteries (Two) !!! Sorry but I don't remember which batteries ??? CR2025 or CR2032 ?? 3 volts, (2) Needed !! To open the Key fob and transfer the inner part, the best thing is to go to some You-Tube videos and check out the several ones to do this operation as it is not that easy to do !!!! Also if you want to have the NEW (BLANK) key cut, it is NOT the "Old School" type of key of "Yester-year" !!!! So you will need to find a "Capable" place where the new Style Key Blank can be Cut to work in your car, IF you want that to be done ?? Yes, as in other reviews, the buttons must be pushed a little Harder, which I expected since it is a brand new part !!! This key shell is costing me $518!!! Not worth the risk. The battery tray plastic on the one I received was way too thick and when I slid it in the shell with the rest of the internals, the button switches and led that communicates with the car came apart from the board. I soldered the led back on and the car can at least be started now but the lock/unlock/trunk buttons cannot be soldered back on and are now useless. The metal on the battery tray also broke apart and is useless. The shell looks fine but very cheaply made all around. If you want to take a chance with this, I would advise to use your original battery tray and if it feels tighter than it should be, do not push it in. I’ve purchased one of these shells from a different seller with no issues at all and used the battery tray it came with. Seller did refund my money for the shell but said I installed it improperly and not responsible for any of the damage caused to the board… Mercedes quoted me $518 for a replacement. Amazon could not help since this is a third party seller. Avoid this product.

The key fob is exactly as described in the listing. It's made with quality materials and is exactly like the Mercedes factory key fob. The cost of this item is well worth every dollar and you don't have to spend your entire paycheck for the week to buy it. A+++

After swapping the main circuit board I could not get the buttons to register. This is made to about 90% of the same tolerances as the OEM part. The original key case has the entire front infrared filter window clear with a small magnifying bump on front of where the IR emitter on the circuit board sits. This only has the infrared filter over the middle hole but still passes enough IR light to interface with the ignition. I had to end up using the original OEM battery holder instead of the one that came with this case to get the correct height clearance for the buttons on the circuit board to register the clicks. This was minor for me since the original battery holder fits fine in the new case. Still definitely worth it for the price.

Bought to replace the beat up OEM for my 2008 C300. If you're a little handy and have some small tools and a delicate touch you should be able to migrate all the parts over from the old case to this new one. I didn't reuse the battery holder or the key blank it came with. Be aware, its new, so it's not worn in like the one you're replacing; everything will fit 'tight' and require some elbow grease - DON'T use a hammer!!

My fob would not lock or unlock my doors or open my trunk on my E350. The dealership told me they do not switch key fob chips into new cases because it does not work and it would have to be programmed. All and all it was going to cost me a minimum of 423.00 including programming it to my car. I read the reviews on this fob and made the purchase and I am ecstatic I did!!! I was able to switch the chip from my old fob into the new case and switch my old key in place of the new uncut key that came with the new fob. Once switched out I pushed the lock symbol and I head my car lock!!!!!! It is a great product! It is substantial in weight just like the fob that came with my E350. I was worried it would not work because of what the lying Merecedes dealer said. The original 423.00 dollar price to fix my fob became a 29.00 dollar fix ($3 xtra for next day delivery)! I would recommend this key fob for anyone with a faulty fob..I would definitely buy it again.

It could be useful, if it were made with a smidge of pride.

Every few years I have to update my car key instead of paying hundreds of dollars I just order this and switch out the inside panel! It works perfectly every time.
