Been using the Curl Maker for 2 years. It is one of my personal favorites and my curls loves it. The soft hold gel is indeed soft. Does not leave your hair stiff nor hard to touch. Curls will be soft for days. However, be mindful not to use too much. Can make your curls a bit sticky. I have hair type 4b and 4c curls. I use this at least 3 times a week. The moisture, the softness, and working on your curls actually does work. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for softness and define curls.

I absolutely love this product. I get lots of compliments. Just make sure to keep hair dripping wet and use liberal amounts of the product and do finger twists. Hair shines, holds in moisture, doesn’t frizz for days, HAIR ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT FLATTEN when you sleep, style remains true. Great to use if you are growing your hair out or simply want to rest your hair from heat and manipulation. My gray hairs look like silver coins!! This product is a god send!! Been using it for years now. Did I say I get lots of compliments? And looks too.

Why I bought it: I wanted a curl gel that defines my natural curls without leaving them stiff, frizzy or crunchy. My first impression: The texture is smooth, and the scent is amazing — light and pleasant, not overpowering. Performance after using it: I absolutely love this gel! It makes my curls so soft, shiny, and extra bouncy. It defines each curl perfectly and keeps the frizz away all day. Final thoughts: This has become my go-to styling product. My curls have never looked or felt better — highly recommend for anyone who wants soft, touchable curls!

I really love this gel, the smell, the amount of product that your get etc. I love Camille rose I use majority of her products. The only tripe I have is that the flakes, no matter what I do, I have tried it in clean hair, clean shampooed hair in the shower. I let it set, no flakes a few days later flakes, tried it with no products just the gel. Still flakes lol. My hair is soft, defined, and smells great and maybe I’m using too much of the gel, if so I’ll dial it back some but, that’s my only issue. lol I’m still going to use it because I hate wasting products. ❤️❤️❤️. Absolutely one of my favorite products for curly hair. As a hairstylist and makeup artist, I keep this in my kit for curly hair. It’s great to add definition to the ends over slightly damp hair, or spraying down the entire head with water, applying from root to ends with a touch of their honey mousse, then using my denman brush to get maximum definition. The formula is so clean, and every time I’ve used this, the models are stunned by the results. Excellent value for the money spent, perfect moisture level, and I need this extra large sized bottle because I use it so often.

This product USED to be good. I have been using it for years, so I know what I'm talking about as I have given them my money for a long time. However, I am certain they changed the product because now it leaves my hair dry which is creating tangles, and I have experienced some hair loss. I'm pretty sure it's this product because I've switched to Innersense (conditioner and gel), and it's not doing that to me. So as I can't return this, I'm just using it for date nights once a week, and that's it. I'm now using another gel that costs more, but it doesn't contribute to hair loss. And when I do use it, I use less of it. I won't be buying this again unfortunately. It still works when I put it on and makes my hair look good, but on day 2 and 3 I experience dryness of my hair and flakiness and tangles and then hair loss. I normally don't give negative reviews, but as I paid 20 bucks for this, I felt it was fair for me to say something. Innersense costs more, but it's not creating hair loss for me. It sucks to see so many brands that used to be good no longer be good. It's not right to change the product's formulation or not use the same quality ingredients that they used to use. I'm not the only one who feels this way. On Reddit, a lot of people are noticing some things have changed here. I think it's because they have shareholders or something where the customer is not being prioritized. I just really think the quality is not the same. I can't prove it, but my hair can. I'm switching to other brands. Hopefully, those don't change as well cuz then I'll have to start making my own products.

Good for curl definition but not that good for volume

I bought this for my husband who has North African hair along with the Camille Rose milk. It worked great on his hair by holding onto the moisture from the milk, it also got rid of his frizz. I have white people wavy hair and I also use it for slick backs because it holds the hair nicely without going crunchy and flakey like other gels. I enjoy the scent as well.

I didn’t know my hair could naturally curl better after using this, at first I just used a little on damp hair and I thought it looked good. The second time I tried, I ensured my hair was more wet/ straight out the shower, and worked in smaller sections and paired with a leave in. There was a little cast but I don’t care, even my mom with curly hair asked how I did it. There was less frizz! I didn’t know my hair could be less frizzy! Psa we have south east Asia curly hair, 3c/ sometimes 4a in some areas, very prone to dryness.

The best curl gel I have found for mixed girls! I am half black and have super curly, typically very frizzy curls that, without product, have no definition. This has been such a godsend, and I am glad we have access to it in Canada (i used to have to stock up in the States). Smells nice, has good hold without being super crunchy, great shine, and I find I can get 3 days of wearable curls with it.
