1999 chevy Silverado 4x4

I order this thermostat to replace the one on my 2001 suburban. I replace the radiator with a new 3 core all aluminum radiator and thought I would put in a 180 degree thermostat to replace the 195 degree thermostat that comes from the factory because I use this vehicle mainly for towing. There is no way to know if you are actually getting a 180 degree thermostat because there are no markings on it to confirm the degrees. After installing it, it appears that it is really a 195 degree thermostat.

This does not fit my 2005 Chevy Silverado 4.3 V6.The product says it will fit. This is another item from X AUTOHAUX that says it will fit when it does not.

When I ordered this, it said it would fit my 1997 Tahoe. It was not for my Tahoe.

Got my old one off and they looked slightly different but most parts seem to. This thermostat has these side pieces that don't allow for it to fit inside the housing.
