Love my new 12x10 Retractable Awning!
The media could not be loaded. Shipment came pretty fast. I paid extra $19.99 for the special handling service with a three hour delivery window. The guy delivered it to my back patio. It was worth it since it weighed 76 lbs. I had to purchase a 12ft 2x6 Douglas fir and use it as my lead board since my studs were 16" apart. I was installing the awning to the house stucco wall. You may need to do it too if you have the same situation. Since the height of my patio entrance is already 8'2", and the drop is 2 feet, I installed the lowest hole of the bracket at the 2 feet mark. This will bring the edge of the lowest point of awning to the same height of my patio entrance 8'2". You may not have luxury of having the height allowance as I have. However, I installed it per the directions, and it worked perfectly for me. This is a great quality product with great looks and ease of installation! I compared the quality and price - this is a great value for your money! The color is neutral and compliment my house.

Very good product
After shopping everywhere for a new retractable awning, we decided on the Diensweek from Amazon. We wanted a manual awning because we didn’t want the added expense of an Electrician. It was important to us that the awning arrived ASSEMBLED. The Diensweek awning is very solid. The fabric is very heavy duty. The only compromise we had to make was on the color. We wanted the burgundy and tan striped one but it just never came back into stock. So we went with the solid tan and are very happy with it. The sturdiness of this awning for the price just can’t be be beat. The only downside is that it arrived by a private delivery company and the box was badly damaged. Thankfully, the awning was wrapped in heavy duty plastic so it was not damaged. You will need two people to install it onto your house with ladders. It’s pretty heavy. Installation will take about an hour. A handy relative/carpenter installed it for us. Highly recommend this product.

Nice Awning
I mounted this by myself but in retrospect that was not the best idea I've ever had. Get a friend to help and the job is easier, quicker and much safer. Really happy with the look and quality.

Careful about concrete block installation
I like this awning, it is exactly what I was looking for. After reading reviews about people having issues assembling awnings from other manufacturers, I like the fact that it came fully assembled. It took me two days to finish installation because I ran into issues installing into concrete block. I installed this over a 10-ft wide garage door, so I purchased a 12-ft wide awning to cover the entire width of the door. Unfortunately that caused it to be wider than the solid header above the door, and therefore the ends of the awning had to be mounted into the hollow sections of concrete block for which the included hardware was no suited. Included hardware needs to go into solid concrete. Since I was fortunate enough to have access to the other side of the wall in the garage and wasn't concerned with additional holes inside, I drilled an access hole that would allow me to use a nut and washer on the backside. I had to purchase new nuts, washers and bolts, and a long enough drill bit to go entirely through a cinder clock, but it worked out and I like the awning. I purchased the extra long masonry drill bit from Harbor Freight, so it was reasonably priced (I think a 5-pice set was less than $20, and use the 20%-off coupon). I used the smallest bit to drill from the awning side all the way through so that my access hole was directly opposite. On the interior side you then need to widen the hole to allow your socket (with nut already in it) to go through. It took two people, one on each side, to hold the bolt still while the other fished the nut and washer onto it from the other side. If I had known all of this ahead of time I'm sure I could have installed it in a couple of hours. I briefly considered putting up an exterior wooden header but realized it would need to be pretty think to accommodate the size of wood screws that came with the awning, so I abandoned that idea. For the money it was worth it. I tried to call some local awning companies to get an estimate on something similar, and I couldn't get anything for less than 2 thousand. I'm pretty happy with it right now. It was installed in December of 2020 so we'll see how well it holds up, but it looks pretty sturdy. The box also was damaged during shipping and some of the mounting hardware was lost, and the company promptly sent new mounting hardware, so the customer service was excellent. I'm not sure what "Sheerness" is supposed to mean in the ratings above, so I didn't rate that. It provides enough shade. I plan on spraying it with some water repellant if I think it needs it, but I don't plan to be out there much if it's raining, and it shouldn't be extended in heavy wind and rain anyway.

AA (Awesome Awning)
I’m putting this review up after a year. We use this occasionally as we see all weather seasons. Provides great shade, the color does has not faded at all, it extends effortless. it can move a lot with the breeze but still handles it well, however make sure to tuck it in when is strong. Can not comment on the installation we had someone come in and installed

Great purchase, so far so good.
Just installed the awnings (x2) and so far we are extremely happy with them. The quality appears to be good and all of the connections were solid. The only issue we had is the scalloped ends of the awnings, we would have liked a straight edge but they were not available. Looking forward to seeing how they work this summer and will report back.

Arrived damaged.
Awning arrived and I installed it the next day. Very simple and easy mounting the brackets and then putting the awning up.Disappointed when I went to open it and discovered the roller the awning is on is bent. Badly. There is nearly 5" of variation in high to low point. It makes contact with the bracket, jams and runs the fabric. Not useable at this time as it is.Attempting to contact the manufacturer but they only provided an email, no phone number. Will update this review as the situation develops.

Perfect!
This awning is sturdy as a rock and a very beautiful addition to our deck. It was also extremely easy to install. We will most likely buy a second one for the back deck.
