Buy this! You'll wonder how you ever got by without it.
This thing works great. Simple to assemble and set up. Blades are plenty sharp. Not too difficult to push a potato through. suction cup holds pretty well. This thing is so fast and efficient that you'll be making so many French fries. I have both the 1/2" and 3/8" blades. I have only used the 3/8" and it produces perfect fries. They are a tad bigger than the fast food (MacDonalds) version, but I like 3/8" better. The machine will process a very large potato whole, without needing to cut it down. I flattened out the ends of the potatoes and kept the skins on. Doing it that way, you can produce a huge amount of fries in seconds. I then cooked them in the air fryer. I highly recommend this machine. Honestly, I don't know why anyone would buy a version that costs more than this one because there is simply nothing to improve on.

Love it!
This stainless steel cutter has been a great addition to my kitchen tools—it slices potatoes, carrots, cucumbers, and other firm veggies into perfect 1/2-inch thick strips with almost no effort. The handle has a solid grip, and the leverage makes it easy to push through even tougher vegetables. It’s also easy to clean, and the stainless steel construction feels durable and well-made. Whether you’re prepping fries or just want consistent veggie cuts for cooking, this tool saves time and gives really clean, uniform results. Definitely a helpful tool to have around.

Best French fry cutter out there
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This thing is amazing. This is the 3rd cutter I have tried. The others you had to use so much force to actually get a potato through that you were exhausted halfway through the cutting process. This is so easy. Truly the easiest way to make French fries at home. A+

Great for most things I'm sure, just not sweet potatoes
So, I got this for the sole purpose of using it to make fries out of sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes are much more dense than other potatoes and it often takes a lot of pressure on your cutting utensil to cut through them so I was super hopeful that the leverage on this device would help make that a breeze! I was so excited and washed and trimmed the ends off the first sweet potato and stuck it in the device and moved the handle to start the process and the entire thing slid across my countertop. Noting that there is only 1 suction cup at the rear and it's large and wasn't really sticking didn't help things. I tried to hold my hand on the 2 bars along the top to press down and keep it from sliding and then try again and it ended up pushing the thin metal sheet along the bottom down for some reason, even though the pressure should have been exerted directly towards the cutting grate. It got about .5" into the grate and stopped dead. What I failed to realize, with all the products shaped this way, is that the handle is only down when the device is closed, or fully compressed, all the way. When you have something in the cutting area the handle can be straight up and down, which makes you almost push forward and down to try to cut whatever it is you're working with. The sweet potato was winning this battle but by God not the war I swore to myself! I stuck a small paring knife in there, since the potato was wedged in and not going anywhere and cut it in half so I could pull that out and when I went to press again the handle was in a lower position, maybe 50-degrees, and I was pushing down more instead of sideways. Did it help? Meh, kind of? I eventually got it to smash the potato through the grate, shooting potato fragments across the counter and it coming down with a slam which left imprints in my hand. But I won and proved my stubbornness was stronger than the sweet potatoes! Sometimes you have to count the small victories in life. I didn't get nice long fries though; they were all only about 3" long. Since the next half was shorter it went just a tiny bit better, but it got stuck as well and I had to exert my 245 lbs down on that bar with a mixing bowl across the kitchen counter to catch the fries as they finally gave in and shot out of the grate with another loud slam. As a note I was using the 1/2" grate so it would be resisting less than the even more 3/8" grate would.I believe that this device can be great with shorter vegetables in the cutting tray, and ones that are softer than the sweet potato. I think, if you're looking to mostly cut sweet potatoes, my next attempt will be with a fry's cutter that is vertical so I can just pull the arm down and use my weight that way instead of pushing it across the counter with an arm that's at a 90-degree angle with the device when there is something in it. I think also the single suction cup on the rear and nothing on the front didn't help me at all. Sweet potatoes can be jerks, we need to unite and show them who's boss because they make the best fries!

Time savor!
The media could not be loaded. This was super easy to put together, easy to clean. Made of all metal which I liked, I read other reviews for different products where the blades were made of plastic. I cut around 15 potatoes in a couple minutes. I have only used the smaller cut attachment but there is another attachment to make a thicker cut. It saved so much time instead of hand cutting or using a slicer. Highly recommend

How do you clean this
This really should be a 5 star review, since the device works beautifully (I have only used it once so far), BUT there is no good way to clean it. Since the instructions do not mention that the parts can go in a dishwasher i used their recommended cleaning method using a brush to clean each of the holes in the cutter, and while it did clean it, the brush was ruined afterwards since the cutter cut off the bristles. It would be great to know the cutter can go in the dishwasher since i am not going do until i know i will not ruin it.
