Works great! Easy install!
This product is exactly what it’s suppose to be! An easy, plug in play remote start. No bs, no extra wiring, worked flawless as soon it was setup. Easy setup with step by step instructions too. I used to install remote starters myself and this product is top tier for the price no doubt. Connectors fit well, plenty of harness, clear instructions. It checks all the boxes for me. Thanks for a great product.

Worked Exactly as Advertised!! Love it!!
I wanted a remote start for my 2011 Honda Civic because I am now parking in an open lot for my job. So, during the winter in the Midwest, it can be very cold even at 5pm in the afternoon, especially in February. Plus, there could be snow, sleet, or some ice on my car that can make it a challenge to deal with when at the end of a workday. I searched and searched, read bunches of online reviews, and watched numerous youtube videos. I seriously considered the likes of Best Buy (or similar) for installation but just didn't trust them. I'm very handy around the house, so figured I could do it myself. The awesome part about the Start-X kit is that it really is plug-and-play. I popped the trim piece off around the steering column, then the column covers came off with a bit more finesse, and finally I connected-up the T-harness. I followed the easy module programming steps and bingo, my car now has a remote starting system. Great system!!!

8 pins to program not 20pins
It was an easy installation, got a little hiccups but got it to start, I have a honda civic 2008, so to program the box, you have to used the 8 pins, not the 20pins and also the light was on the back of the box not on the side, was looking on the side and didn't see any, lol over took me an hour but got it to run, saved me a fews bucks.. good luck out there..

Perfect upgrade for our car
We purchased the Start-X Remote Starter Kit for our kids Honda Civic and had it installed, and we are SO happy we did! It works exactly as described and makes such a difference, especially during cold mornings. The remote start is super convenient. One quick tip: you do have to be a little careful with the lock button—if you click the lock too many times, the car can start (it’s part of the remote start feature). Once you know that, it’s easy to avoid and not a big deal at all. Overall, this has been an awesome upgrade and we love having it

Excellent… with a few caveats
This is a very easy to install remote starter - it will take you longer to remove the panels and get them back than the actual installation. The range is limited to the range of your remote unlocker, and since you get no feedback it’s realistically limited to line-of-sight. If you want to remote start your car from inside the grocery store or work if your car is far away, this won’t work and you’ll need a professional install. Here are three things to keep in mind : 1. The included instructions tell you to insert a connector while holding a button BEFORE you put the key in the ON position. If you do this, you will never get the blinking light promised in the manual. This is because the key needs to be turned to the ON position - which is the following step. I thought my unit was defective and spent way too much time figuring this out. 2. The unit has an auto shutoff feature. That’s great if you accidentally turn it on. However, it will only stay on for 15 minutes. For some people, that might be great. But if you live in a freezing climate, that’s not long enough to warm up your engine, car interior, and defrost your windshield. You will have to babysit it and make sure your car is off - otherwise turning it back “on” will turn it off since they’re the same key sequence - then turn it on again. There’s a reason most remote starters have an auto shutoff time of 30 minutes. 3. Similar to the second note, only applicable to cold climates: many remote starters will automatically turn on your rear defrost. This one does not. So if you have had full-fledged remote start before and know the convenience of pressing a button while you’re getting ready to leave, stepping outside to a ready-to-drive car in the winter… this won’t have your back glass ready to go like that. So it isn’t the same as a professional installation. But a professional installation requires an appointment, waiting or arranging drop off, and costs two to three times as much as this. For some people, this will be perfect. I park my car right outside my home and office and don’t mind that it doesn’t fully prep the car in the winter. But if you want to have a car completely ready to go in wintry conditions or want to start your car from far away, this isn’t it. This is the Diet Coke of remote starters, the remote starter for people with commitment issues, the gateway drug to Compustars and monthly subscription services to start your own vehicle.

Great! Love it!
This was great! I installed on my son's 2011 honda civic, instructions were pretty clear, worked just as described. What took me the longest with installation was trying to get all the new extra wires tucked under his steering wheel housing, so I could reinstall it. Saved me $250 not having to take it to an accessories dealer shop

Works Great, 2010 Civic
all i have to say is WOW!!! This was super simple to install , shouldn’t take more than 30min. The hardest parts were : getting the steering column trim off and back on and finding a location to mount the brain . Unit programmed on the first try , hit the lock button 3 times and the car started , very pleased , hopefully it stands the rest of time

Works great!
Very nice kit! Don’t need to cut a single wire. Everything just plugs in. Programming is very simple. No extra remotes factory door lock remote button starts it right up. Takes more time to tuck everything away so you can’t see it than it does to install. Buy it! You can install it!

I've bought a total of 3 of these fire different vehicles and they are excellent. Simple to install and work perfectly and no extra fob, wish really simplifies things. They deserve credit for remote starters. Kudos! Possibly the best product over ever purchased on Amazon since its inception!

I got a few quotes from dealerships and auto shops to install one, but they were too expensive. So I decided to do it myself. I was a bit worried it would be difficult, but this thing is surprisingly easy to install. And I'm not a car guy and it took me like 3 hours. Good instructions! I put it to good use last winter on my civic. It runs the car for 15 minutes then the car turns off, but you can start it up again after. Perfect for defrosting windows and warming up the car before you get in. No issues so far, works great, such a luxury.

Belle qualité de produit. Facile à installer mais pas facile de refermer le tout sans des mains supplémentaires.

Like everyone says very easy to install. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the programming of the unit instructions a difficult to understand. I tried about 8 or so times I still don't know what I did but it started working.

I am absolutely amazed that I can get so much for so little. Most remote start systems are not DIY friendly As they would take hours to install and they require specialized equipment like programmers or an extra key in order to operate. My local shops quoted anywhere from $650-$900 plus tax for a remote start install and I didn't like that their kits would require me to carry an extra fob in my pocket. But I installed this myself in around 30 minutes. Direct plug and play. I couldn't believe how easy it was. It was so easy that my friend (a career mechanic) and I couldn't stop laughing in disbelief. I recommend buying this remote start right now because the value is incredible and I could easily see this selling for much much more in the future. My favorite feature is that this operates off of the factory key so there are no extra fobs or buttons. Just hit lock x3 times. The only downsides to this kit (since it used the factory remote) are that the range is only as good as the stock fob can handle and this system is only 1-way meaning there is no indicator light on the remote to notify you that the module received the signal and the car is started. These are a non-issue to me because I can always see my car out the window when I am starting it. My horn will sound when I hit the lock button twice, then the dash and DRL headlights(Canada) automatically come on when the vehicle starts after the third button press. Incredible product.
