Lorna Doone Shortbread Cookies, 1 Oz Single Serve Cookies (Pack of 120)

lorna doones have now become a staple in our house. they were a favorite cookie as a child. nowadays they still have their great taste and quality - but also the expense. this buyer gives me choices of size and packaging with a very good price. we get single serving packs that are just right for a sweet tooth treat with a product we know and trust.

These are the Lorna Doones I know and love. Have always liked the "buttery" taste of these which involves no butter! I received the 1oz packages (four cookies per) as described. The pictures can be misleading as some show 1.5 oz (six cookie) packages.Shipping was a bit of a problem, but I'm used to that when ordering things via subscribe and save. Amazon often ships things like cookies together with a case of canned dog food, for example. The cookies take a bit of a beating from the heavy items in the box. I've noticed minor breakage in the packets I've had so far. A few cookies broken in half for instance, but do far no cases of total crumblage (not a word).

These are very tasty if you like a plain cookie. Also, I have never received a box where the cookies were broken. Happy about that!

I am very displeased with this product, especially since it is not returnable. The cookies were in packets, but not boxed as pictured in a carton. The individual packs of 4 cookies were just haphazardly thrown in a box. Most of the packs contained just fragments of cookies. Every pack had at least two or more broken cookies. From the taste the cookies were old and stale. Furthermore, some of the cookies did not smell right. I really suspect that they were expired. Unfortunately, no way to prove this since the individual packs do not have an expiration date.

What can I say? You can’t go wrong with Lorna Doone. Especially when your partner is a Doone addict😎

I purchased this two times and had a problem with their freshness. I didn't think that I would have the same problem (old and stale). I will not buy this item again.

I use these cookies as a snack when I trail run. There are 4 cookies per package and they fit ideally in my running vest.Often times are local stores don't have any so it worked great to order in bulk.
