Our kiddo loves Elmo so this was a great way to introduce Hanukkah. Book came damaged so took off a star

A wonderful book about a wonderful holiday.A book that opens us to new worlds and traditions, and unites us around goodness and fun.Highly recommended for children, and a fun reading experience for parents as well.

amazing book, love it

The Chanukah kid book selection kind of blows. This was okay but I felt like there was a lot of the story missing. It bothered me Elmo goes to Gil’s house with chocolate coins but has no idea what Chanukah is….so how does he know to bring the coins? Confusing. 14 month old daughter doesn’t seem to care about these holes in the plot though.

This book does not tell the story of Hanukkah but does introduce the lighting of the candles and the playing of dreidel. The pictures are great and the book is hard, thus allowing it to be handled and opened by a baby. It is a perfect size to fit in the baby's hands to hold all by herself. This book would be great for an infant through preschool. In the book, Elmo is invited to his friend's house to celebrate Hanukkah, which is a new experience for him. It shows the lighting of the menorah and the children playing the dreidel game, with an explanation of the Hebrew letters on the dreidel and how to play explained by Elmo's Jewish friend. Hence, you have the directions for the game when purchasing this book. Elmo is given a dreidel as a gift on Hanukkah and when he arrives home, he teaches the game to his parents! You won't regret getting this colorful, sturdy book.

My class loved this book.I ordered little wooden dreidels to go with it. Really helped my class learn about Hanukkah.

Accessible story for little ones, involving the much loved Elmo. Fun and educational. Will read every Hanukkah.

My daughter loved this book and we had to read it several times! It's a bit thin for a hardback but didn't make a difference to us nor make it less enjoyable, a good book to explore chanukah rituals

Lovely book about Hanukah. Although it's a board book, it's quite text heavy so not necessarily for babies - I would say for 3 to 5. A nice addition to our Hanukah collection!

Love this little book and that it features loveable Elmo telling the story of Hanukkah. Sturdy board book, vivid colours, easy for a toddler to hold and turn the pages, nice story. It made a lovely Hanukkah gift for a little girl.
