KEF Q650c Center Channel Speaker (Each, Black)

I've read on reddit that a lotbof people were recommending to just get a third Q150 or Q350 and put it on its side and use that as a center channel. I'm glad I actually ended up getting this speaker to go with my Q150s L/R. First of all, I think it does sound better and if you can't provide 10-12" of space behind, this is definitely a better option because it's a sealed speaker with 2 passive radiators which means you can even put it inside a cabinet. I remember seeing a video on youtube of a person testing out a lot of popular center channel speakers with tools and graphs and this one was one of the best ones in a budget category even besting many center channel speakers around or over $1k. It is worth it, in my opinion.

When my Martin Logan center died, I started doing research on a replacement center channel for my home theater. The KEF Q650C kept showing up in reviews. I gave it a shot and never looked back. Voice sounds were accurate, loud, and clear. It easily fit in with my front speakers and subwoofer. Build quality is top notch. This is the center channel you’ve been searching for.

Tried the RP-450CA from klipsch and the KEF blows it out of the water. Dialogue is very clear and base is solid. Sound is in sync with lips. Everything comes alive with no harsh horn tweeter high ends like the klipsch. I can’t wait purchase the new 450 bookshelves to finish my Surround setup! Only downside is no speaker grill! At $650 a grill should be included not a $30 add in. They do look pretty good without the grill though. The black blends in well with my entertainment center.

GREAT Detail. Super clear and tight. I'm actually using 2 of these in a stereo configuration, because I figured a speaker designed for center channel will be more clearly defined in high and mid ranges, which is exactly what it does, and what I wanted. I paired it (them, since I got 2) with the EXCELLENT KEF KC62 subwoofer. Without the subwoofer you get some bass, but definitely not enough. The clarity of these speakers (again I'm using 2 of them in a 2.1 setup) is super good. I'm hearing lots of new things in tracks that I've listened to a 1000 times. I can now clearly hear instrument separation, individual string sounds, subtle nuances in voices, instruments, percussion, room/stage sounds, reverb/echos in the recordings, etc. Shockingly clear. Can be a little overwhelming though if you're not used to hearing so much detail so when your ears are easily fatigued, I don't recommend using them in a 2.1 setup, however as a center channel in a 5.1/7.1 setup it will be fantastic, as it definitely is a fantastic mid/high range speaker and will give you super clear dialogue, which is essentially what it is designed for to begin with. I'm keeping mine. And try out that KC62 sub, even if you have to buy a cheaper second hand one if a new one is too expensive.

Best center receiver I’ve ever had for the price

Speaker may be amazing, but I received a used one, titled "Quality pre-owned, used and open box products." Nowhere on the page does it mention that these are pre-owned speakers. Sent back. Also, the page neglects to mentions this product was discontinued by manufacturer and so there is no grille available to purchase for this model anywhere.

Tried to use this as a center for my home theater and very dissapointed. With a Denon AVR X6700H it just does not produce human voices with accuracy. Very hollow, lack of full mid-range coverage. Then tried it on a Krell amp and same sound from hi-rez music and TV and movies. I cannot reccomend this product.

Un centrale per dare corpo alla voce (e non solo) del vostro Home Cinema. NON adatto a stanze piccole, facile da pilotare, estremamente coerente e pulito sulle voci. A questo prezzo, potrebbero fornire anche la retina anteriore (che viene venduta a parte). Qualita' indiscutibile di Kef.

I had been using a mismatched centre speaker from my previous Jamo set (rears and sub next thing pending upgrade) and I'm happy to finally upgrade to a matching centre channel for my floor standers. The autocal on my receiver has them blended well with the rest of my setup and enjoying much better dialogue clarity, presence and bass. Big uplift in quality for me but your mileage may vary depending on your current centre. Very happy purchases and one I should have made sooner.

Estéticamente esta muy bonito, en cuestión de sonido lo hace bastante bien, no me puedo quejar en ningún aspecto.

Impresiona su tamaño y muy buen sonido y dispersion por su altavoz coaxial para medio y agudos. Suena bonito dulce y bastante gordo con denon avr3700, pero no le sobra nada de potencia, por lo que si tienes una sala grande (+30m2), tendra que buscarle algo que empuje mas. La entrega fue lamentable tarde mal y arrastro, todo gracias a gls. A la espera de alguna respuesta de audiozona por lo menos para recibir algun bono por esos maravillosos numeros de tarificacion especial en los cuales no te dicen nada mas de lo que sale en su propia pagina de la cual no actualizan el seguimiento. Nota extra: tengo los q350 con unos 3 años y son gris oscuro, y este q650 es completamente negro mate...
