As someone who has been making resin pieces for quite a while, I have tried many many different brands of 1:1 epoxy resin. The ones people seat by and the ones people loathe.I persona have made this brace my absolute favorite. It's not the cheapest, it's not the most expensive either. Right in the middle.It cures hard and crystal clear, the work time is about 30-45 min which is plenty of time if you already have everything ready before you start mixing. Alcohol inks create great designs in the resin(I've experienced some resin doesn't allow alcohol inks to react and just sit on top). The alcohol inks don't have any chemical reactions to the resin, which I've had issues with in the past with other resin.It's easy to use, comes with many extras in the box which honestly makes the price worth it. Instructions are clear to understand. Beginners could definitely use this. I wish I would have found it as a beginner myself.My 12 yr old daughter now uses it to make her own by herself. It's seriously easy!If mixed properly and exact 1:1 ratio, you will have no issues!

This was the first epoxy I bought to get started because they had a nice bundle. I never had an issue, it was clear, bubble free, and perfect for my lack of knowledge. I learned with this epoxy all the way but when I did research I figured I better try other more expensive brands so I ordered something else, that turned out to be a huge learning experience and everything had fine bubbles all the way through it. I ordered an even more expensive brand and that was so thick and temperature sensitive that I ended up losing one of my favorite koi paintings. I'm back for more Magicfly but I wish they had larger 1:1 packages. I'm tempted to buy the .75 gallon but it's a deep pour and mixing is different so I don't want to make another costly error where it doesn't work for my needs. If anyone can fill me in on the difference I'd greatly appreciate it! Thank you Magicfly for making my first projects so much easier!

LISTEN... well... READ. I recently bought this resin after searching everywhere for a good or decent quality resin that would really harden. At first I was scared since I had read reviews saying that there are resins that don’t harden and stay tacky and some criticizing how this one was not a good buy for them. The box did arrive open cuz it had no tape BUT the items inside were completely fine and nothing had spilled. They should be more careful with packaging though.I’m a beginner at resin crafts but let me tell you something. This resin, hardens super well. It may have a few bubbles after mixing but with a heat gun they should dissipate.If you’re going to get this or any other resin in general. MAKE SURE YOU MIX RATIOS RIGHT AND WELL. Because the only reason people using this one, had bad results and ended with tacky projects is because they failed in the process of mixing. You can’t mix this fast, nor have different ratios. (For better info on how to measure liquids correctly, watch YouTube videos. Your eyes should be at the same level as the cups so you can accurately mix the right amount. I learned this in my laboratory classes) and you gotta do everything slowly. You have to be patient when working with resin. For some projects (depending on how large), it may take a bit more than 72 hours for it to completely harden but that’s okay because you are not gonna buy this with the expectation of doing all of your projects quickly, only people who didn’t read this review do that. You read this review so NOW you are sure as heck that you can FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS and do things correctly with this resin.And remember, don’t be afraid of failure. Failure leads to success so keep trying and working hard.Good luck on your projects!

It's a good epoxy resin if you use a bubble removal machine. And keep the temperature at the recommended temperature.

I have went through 2 different resins. One from my local craft store (Was way too thick and bubbles, after mixing, made it insanely cloudy), and one that was very expensive (was much easier to pour but took forever to harden because of the water like consistency. And when it finally did was very tacky). So when I was looking at this one I was dreading the less than prefect results. But to my surprise it is prefect.While reading the instructions it says to have it sit in water for 10-15 minutes. This is a MUST. It really helps eliminate the bubbles. I had tried 3 different times, at 3 different tempters, to if the water matters (and also because I was a little impatient with my project).When it was fresh out of the warm water: Barely any bubbles while mixing, and pouring the first layer was like looking at glass.When the bottles had cooled a bit, about an hour or so, but still warmer then room tempture: Not so many bubbles while mixing but while pouring the bubbles seemed to be more visible.AndWhen the bottles had cooled considerably: LOTS of bubbles while mixing, and they didn't disappear as easily while pouring.So if you're like me: trying this resin out, thinking about not letting the bottles sit in warm water, Dont. Follow the directions.

I had mixed reviews in the beginning, but once I found the right trick, this product is awesome. You have to make sure you use the exact measurements and mix this completely. It is a slower cure time and allows you to heat out imperfections longer. If done right it does give a nice clear perfect finished product.
