WirthCo 23144 Battery Doctor 9W Solar Panel Charger Maintainer Kit

This solar panel has enough output and is small enough that I had it sewn into my mooring cover. When the cover is in place and the solar panel is plugged in it has kept my 12v 650 Amp deep cycle marine sailboat battery charged all season long (6 months). Never had to remove the battery and charge it or rely on shore power to charge. Sailboats are really dependent on a battery to provide power for basic stuff like radios, running/anchor lights and at times an electric trolling motor (55 Lb thrust) used to get in and out of the marina, so my battery takes serious abuse each trip I take on the lake which is generally 2 to 3 days in a row to give you an idea of how I use the panel. I recall the panel and bezel is resistant to water but that does not mean rain proof, but I could be wrong. I don't recall what the warrantee said. I took no chances and sealed it with RTV in between two plates of plexiglass. (Probably voids the warrantee. Be aware of that. I needed a small panel so it was worth it). The panel was damaged in a storm while moored. The glass covering the actual panel was cracked. I was surprised that the in line fuse I had installed had not blown and this little tough panel continued to deliver power besides the damage. I have since replaced the original panel with a new one. My battery is in top condition thanks to this tough little solar panel. Now that I think of it I am going to buy a spare!

I don't always write reviews. The package was damaged and missing parts. Not very happy. Hope the next one will be better.

This is being used to help charge the battery on our solar powered gate openers and holding up well. It is outside 24/7 and a nice addition to our charging system.

I use the panel to keep the battery on my travel trailer charged while it is in storage. It works great. It is more than ways to install and uninstall. It is my second-do not drop it.

Although this the same wattage as the ad and picture on the box, it is shorter and wider.
